This was my first machine, I now have 11. What is interesting is that the first production Snapmaker and this were nearly identical. I have the newer version of the one you are showing as it's slightly different. The 3D print module on mine you can tighten or loosen the grabber gear and mine has a slightly longer print bed, very slightly. After I bought this I started buying 3D printers that were on sale on eBay marked "as is, for parts only" so all of mine I got very inexpensively and rebuilt them. I have one other Mooz, a Mooz 3 which is a Delta printer, very small print volume but can combine 3 colors of filament. Got that for $70 when it was selling for $899. AND there was nothing wrong with it. I assume the user did not know how to configure the slicer for the round delta print bed and he did scratch the print bed. I simply replaced it with a removable PEI surface. I still use the Mooz because, believe it or not the prints are still outstanding. The company now has moved to robotic arm machine and, ironically, that is what I build. I build robotics, using an Arduino or Raspberry Pi, with Maestro and stepper motors. For some of the small gears I use the Mooz so I don't have to crank up my large print volume machines to make small prints. My printers are Lulzbot Taz 5's which one of them I use for fast prototyping with 2.85mm filament and a 1.2mm nozzle. I have 2 Snapmakers, the large volume A350 models of which one I use for 3D printing the other for CNC. And I have a VORON since I wanted a corexy machine for high speed printing. I would say that the VORON and the MOOZ compete with making the same quality prints, although the VORON is a rocket and the Mooz is slow, but I'm never in that much of a hurry.

i like the laser engraving mode the best. 3D printing looks like it takes forever

This thing looks amazing. Living in an apartment, I think my neighbors would LOVE the CNC functionality ;)
I would definitely use the laser engraver and the printer, though.
    Almost forgot -- JOE!!
