    Hi! Thanks for sharing that the boxes are at Hobby Lobby. When I was stationed in Germany 30 years ago I collected little figurines from our travels and stored them in a glass front hanging cabinet with lots of little shelves. Well the little cabinet got broken and I have been looking and looking for a replacement, for several years now. Your video sent me to Hobby Lobby, I picked up 2 boxes, we're going to add hangers on the back and put my little figurines back on display. The boxes will need to be painted or stained, not there yet. But we have a plan. Thank You, Thank You.

      I used a 28 ct evenweave that I had. It made it really tight on a few of the designs. I didn’t have the called for threads. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep records of what I used. I may change some of the designs but I believe you could change the colors and that cover everything but the pumpkins. Change those to eggs, evergreens and watermelons and your all fixed up. I thought they had re-released the pattern. I’ve had several people say they can’t find it though. I’m putting out feelers to try and find some for y’all. Thank you for letting me know that the pattern isn’t readily available. Hopefully, we can find some. 🤞🤗❤️

      I bought it at Home Depot. It was $12 for the whole piece, I think it was 8 ft. I wanted to do both of my boxes so I bought the whole thing. (I think we already talked, but in case someone is looking on here for that answer) ❤️🤗❤️

    WhT kind of glue do you use to attach the magnets and washers?

    • @niecielynn
      @niecielynn  4 роки тому +1

      I did forget to say that I just hot glue them on with my regular hot glue gun. Nothing special. E6000 glue would work too but be sure you have good ventilation. It’s powerful stinky! ❤️

    Great idea! I have that chart and box, just wasn’t looking forward to the finishing. I want to stitch it and maybe change the colors. I don’t stitch much Halloween anymore. Where did you find the lettering for “Blessed Bee”? I really like how it looks. Thanks for sharing!😊

      Thank you! I think I made it up. I can take a close up of the “blessed be” and email it to you. If you think you can use it as a chart? If I saw it somewhere else, I don’t remember it. I tend to just stitch things like that on the fly, so it’s not written down anywhere. ❤️

    I really love this box and finally found the pattern after searching so many places. I am so very happy you posted this tutorial. I am definitely going to use your finishing technique! So much less stress! Since i am still new to stitching i have a question for you about the fabric to choose. It calls for 30ct linen. What fabric did you use? I don't believe there is an exact conversion to evenweave fabric that i could find because i want the pieces to come out exactly the size needed. Is stitching on linen difficult? Since i have never stitched on linen do you have any tips? thank you again for the tutorial! Have a great weekend.

    • @niecielynn
      @niecielynn  4 роки тому

      Hi, Mella! I stitched on 28 ct evenweave but it is tricky. Some of the designs are on the edge of the backing board when you finish them. You will be fine on the 30 ct linen! It’s marginally smaller and you can get a linen without or with very few slubs in it. Do you have an needlework shop that you use? They will help you find a smooth 30 ct to use for this design. Let me know if I missed something ❤️

      @@niecielynn Thanks! I did read pattern again and see that 28ct or 30ct was called for. I think i will stick with the 30 ct and i found an online store that actually still has the pattern and also sells a thread pack for it. I will post it here if anyone is looking for it. She also has some of the called for linen in Confederate Grey. The pattern is $9.95 and thread pack for it is $11 just search casting a spell on her site. Her site is worth a look. I don't have a local need work shop out here as far as you can go west in Texas:)
