My wife purchased the 1st infantry big red one bottle for me cause my dad was in the division. I cracked it open on August 8 for his birthday and I’m also going to do a pour on his death day and every year after. It was decent juice but it’s more of the sentiment and what it represents to me. It was 100 for the bottle.

So happy to see someone review Borchetta. Scott Borchetta owns Big Machine Music ( used to be Taylor Swift's label). They have a lovely little tasting room and music room in downtown Nashville. They have Clayton James whiskey and they are known for their vodka. But the bourbon they are kind of snooty about....the waitress was very "oh it is very rare and is a $100 a pour." I have always thought it is an overpriced Blanton's wannabe. I think it is so expensive because there are so few bottles.
He sponsors the Nashville grand prix ....and the stoppers are famous race cars.
Thanks for trying so I know that I don't have to.

I have "always" stepped back on high priced purchases having little to no knowledge or even research. Will review the channel to see if you have made videos on "High" priced bourbons. I have heard of people buying higher priced bourbons thinking the product must be better then basic daily shelf bourbons only to be disappointed . Thanks for your videos as they have really helped me begin my own journey to understanding the bourbon community. Really enjoy your channel and thank you...
Will also be looking for a video that gives some in depth understanding on the different classifications of bourbon types to gain better knowledge of labeling.

The 101st opens up much, much better after some months. Every time I revisit it, it gets better. Another interesting note is the bottles are supposedly hand made in Italy ( according to an article I read a while back ), and they are definitely super high quality. Is the price steep for the juice? Yes. But it does get better in time, and when it's out you're left with a premium quality decanter. Mix in the donations and I was willing to buy it at $100. I think closer to 120$+ is pushing it though.

Beautiful bottles. Proves that marketing execs think they can pass off average juice at premium prices.
"Hey, that Blantons sells really well. Fancy bottle, unique stopper. How about we do a stopper shaped like a pistol... or a race car? Great idea... on to production."
Interesting option for a future blind tasting. Trenton said he would maybe pay $60-70 for these. Really? How about blind tasting vs. Russell's Single Barrel or others that are known quality for the $40-60 range. I think these three would get bounced pretty quickly.
