Hi Daniel, great review as always, if i might give some suggestions, in a variable zoom focal length like this lens, it's better if you put what focal length u took on each picture u take to give a better idea... thanks 😊
Nice review. Thank you for sharing. I have this lens paired almost permanently with my R5C. Question, how are you using the iPhone as a monitor? I'm running a 7" monitor now but would like to minimalize the rig and an iPhone would be perfect due to its superior panel. Thanks. -EDIT- I just saw the links in the description.
@@the_daniel_life I will try if that has an affiliate in Munich. Normally I take it from a local store KameraExpress, that has better support than Amazon, in case a lens has some issues in a new pack.
@the_daniel_life thx . I currently have the 28 2.8 50 1.8 85 1.2 rf and a ef 200 f2, so all primes, but was thinking of a standard zoom to take candids of my children. What's your thoughts for photi only 28 70 f2 or the 24 105 2.8, the 24 105 f4 tried it for a few days and it doesn't cut it for me
The focus ring feels stiff because it is designed for video. It's movement is dampened so it can be more effective at focus pulls. It's a benefit in my mind, not a drawback.
This was my dream lens but unfortunately its too big and not practical for travel and daily use, just because of these reasons I bought F4 version which is also very versatile thanks to my modern R6 Mark II I can bump ISO without any problem.
That sounds like an exciting trip! The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L lens is known for its versatility and image quality, making it a great choice for capturing various scenes during your UK trip. Thank you for your encouragement! I am immensely excited about utilizing the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L lens during my travels. It appears to be the quintessential equipment for capturing the stunning diversity and beauty inherent to the United Kingdom. Its versatility makes it ideal for a wide range of photographic scenarios, from close-up details to expansive landscapes and portraiture. The convenience of not needing to switch between multiple lenses while exploring is a significant advantage, enhancing the travel experience by allowing for a more immersive and efficient photography process. This lens effectively simplifies the photographic kit, making it an indispensable tool for travel photography.@@the_daniel_life
(Blendenring)
by the way the lens does not expand :-) this beast is shockingly long by itself. I guess it is a story telling powerhouse, but a bag and photographers back killer. It looks so dramatically unbalanced and its size kills all the intimacy of a portrait or reportage shoot. Guess a manufacture focusing on size would take the market instantly...
I own it! I was first on the pre-sale. I love it. I keep it on the R3 no need to take it off unless I’m getting creative with the 16mm 2.8 that’s it
Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate. Daniel
Классная проделанная работа, я кайфанул от вашего видео ролика. Места очень красивые. Профессионалы!)
Thank you for your support
Now I have finally received my Canon R6 mark ii, this is my dream lens. I will do whatever to takes to purchase this.
Great, link in the description below to support my channel 🙏

hey there, thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind. Daniel
I’m used to shooting with my old EF70-200 2.8 all day on my 1DX. If it’s lighter than that then this will be fine. 🙂
Hi there, wow, the 1DX
Exactly, the fucking kids these days…

I will buy it. Your video is the best to show what it can. I needed exactly these capabilities.

I own both and would really love a comparison video
thanks for your feedback. stay tuned. All the best from Germany, daniel
@@the_daniel_lifedid u do the comparison vid?
great video and images, as a photographer only and i don't do video, i'm considering between the 28-70 f2 and this lens, ahh, first world problems
The 28-70 f2 is a beauty. How many prime lenses do you own?

Wird es mal ein r7 Review geben? Werd ich mir demnächst kaufen mit 100-400 und 800 f11 😄
Kauf das über mich Manu. Sparst die eine Menge Geld. Ich kann dich connecten.
Great review. I see you are monitoring using a phone - how did you do this? Is it an app?

@@the_daniel_life That's great. Thank you :)

Canon EOS R3 and EOS R6 II
how to connect ur camera to phone? please do a video about this.
here is the video: ua-cam.com/video/Y6sdjEUSzrM/v-deo.html
Curious how this lens would fair with a gimbal like the ronin RS4 Pro
Hi, PRO no problem, due to its low weight. Center of gravity should also work. Daniel
Try it with R5 and R6
I don't know, if it will work with the R3
@@the_daniel_life I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.

2:55 that’s some bad chromatic aberration there to be honest…
Well, easy to correct

I think Canon would have sold many of them back in 2018, when they released the Canon EOS R.
The size alone is enough for me to not buy 😅
I know.
This lens should have been one of the first ones with the R series.
