I feel you should give Nine Inch Nails a second chance. I have no idea why people only ever recommend their "biggest" song when it has a overly provocative video, and isn't even indicative of the sound Trent Reznor uses overall through the majority of his music. Their song "The Hand That Feeds" is a lot more accessible, about George Bush and the lies he fed the American public as President. Or their instant classic "We're in this Together Now" (Used in The Avengers trailer famously). Either of these two songs give a better picture of what Nine Inch Nails does and why their music grabs people. Their music has something special about it, so many dark emotions as well as uplifting moments throughout their history.
