So, I couldn't perform a reset to save my life, as the original instructions say, "Press the door lock and slide the battery pack in AT THE SAME TIME." I tried and tried, no joy. Then I pushed the lock button in, immediately followed by dropping in the battery pack, and voila! Worked. Then I was able to reset my codes and go on my way. Hope this might help someone.
If you perform a factory reset, you must perform the handing process again. Just like a new install. If you perform the factory reset and neglect to perform the handing process, it will not accept access codes.
Hi DJ KAYDEE - Happy to help! To determine whether your lock comes with either Zigbee or Z-Wave technology, first, remove the interior cover. At the top of the interior assembly, in front of the battery holder, you will see a thin black plastic piece with a sticker on top. The sticker has a model number and either ZB for Zigbee or ZW for Z-Wave. If there is no sticker, pull the plastic part up to view the radio frequency chip, which will be labeled with the accurate frequency. If there is no chip, then you have a stand-alone lock. The SmartCode 910 Z-Wave or Zigbee lock connects to a compatible hub and can be used remotely via an app on your smartphone. Another worthless video, half the video is dedicated to a mastercode, yet the title to which you would search from as a normal human, is "without mastercode", so all kwikset is doing is causing more confusion, like the other videos I've seen of theirs. Luckily there are users out there who can better explain the procedures than the company that made the lock

Vincent St John where did you find how to do it without the master code? We bought the house with the lock and nobody knows the master code...
Works perfectly, I never had to input the mastercode to delete it. Just be patient and follow the instructions in the video.
