Personally I think he did what he said which was that he would evaluate the dog for his friend. He did that & while he didn’t feel the dog was really aggressive he did feel like he needed training which he didn’t have time to do because he was leaving town. So he used his network to see if anyone was out there that felt they had the time & ability to help this dog. I’m glad he did post this video. He gave that dog a better chance then he would’ve otherwise had. There’s no way he can save every dog & im sure he has to reconcile himself to that but using his reach to find the dog a good home is a wonderful thing. I was just replying to him to ask if he’ll let us know if the dog ever gets adopted.
LD I’m not sure what you expect of 1 person but they can only do so much. I think he’s doing a great job. It’s really easy to point fingers from the outside looking in but until you’ve looked in a mirror & judged yourself 1st & fixed all your flaws you really shouldn’t judge other’s so harshly or at all. It doesn’t feel good when someone does it to you & believe me someone will. We reap what we sew.
@TheDogDaddy I’d love it if you’d let us know if the dogs in the video ever get adopted. Thx for your videos. 😊

@@GApeach1313 I know that some States want to band Pittys it's sad,In Co. has a suburb that will not allow pit bulls.

@@loriholman1459 1st I want to apologize to you. I reread the conversation & what I wrote so I could remember what we were talking about & I realized that what I wrote came off way harsh & rude sounding. I apologize & I appreciate that you didn’t jump all over me for it. You’re right that some breeds have a hard time in certain states & sometimes get a bad wrap. And I 100% agree that it’s the owner not the dog. Just like children they learn what we teach them & from their environment. Sadly in some places nothing will happen to the owners or dog if the dog bites someone. My son was bitten by one of my neighbors dogs & since we live in North Carolina the only thing they might do is quarantine the dog for 2weeks. That’s it, no fines no nothing. So it really depends on where you’re located. I still smh both at that & at the fact that my sisters best friend (the best friends family) got a pit & my mom wouldn’t let my sister go over to her house anymore. I tried & tried to tell her it depends on the owner more than the dog but it was at the height of all the stories about kids getting bitten & killed by pits. It drove me nuts that my mom would “believe everything she hears”. But I couldn’t change her mind. The friend would still come to our house but they eventually grew apart & the straw was something completely unrelated that her “friend” did/said & then they stopped talking all together because of that. My mom has always been/come across as a little flighty maybe. One of her friends called her a butterfly or Scarlett O’Hara. She still drive me mad. Lol anyway, I hope people realize one day that it’s more the people then the pets that can be the problem. Hope you have a great day. 😊 & again my apologies.

Dogs in shelters are so stressed. My dog was a maniac in the shelter; loudest most obnoxious dog in the place. Got him home, he started off with his first shout fest n I simply said, “no, that’s not how we are going to do here.” He never did itt again. He’s a sweet boy and listens to everything.

They don't care. It's a designer thing for some..An animal, a pet, a literal 4 legged toddler is a responsibility and a commitment much like a child. Many don't ever care to train their additional family member, they let them run amuck. Animals need a happy healthy home where they are secure. Animals need a routine, love and attention. Seems some people just want to be seen with their pet. Gives a whole new meaning to "be seen, not heard."

I rescued a 18 month old GDS male from a kill shelter 6 weeks ago that was labeled as aggressive toward other dogs and did display this issue at first, however he is playing with my 7 week old GSD pup right now and loves the pit bull in the yard behind me. German shepherds need leadership and a hierarchy environment to do well.
I have had this breed for over 50 years and to me there is nothing else. They are always part of the family and belong inside with the everyone, never on a chain in the back yard. Dogs chained in the back yard are illegal here in Galveston County now, finally.

Everyone always thinks they want a highly intelligent, extremely athletic dog, unfortunately if you don’t have the energy and motivation, EXPERIENCE to match, it’s not going to be a good fit for you or the dog. It’s honestly really disgusting that so many people get these perfect, amazing dogs that they aren’t willing or able to train, then blame the dog, dump it in a shelter (or worse) without even trying to find a better suited home for it. And YES they do feel abandoned. So just don’t be so damn selfish in the first place! Thank God for people like the Dog Daddy. If only there were more people like him to make up for the bad ones. 💔

Shelter staff really arent trained properly on how to identify breeds (they always mislabel dogs as whatever breed is most desirable), they dont have training on how to train the dogs, grooming, ect. The problem to is no-kill shelters and rescues that take extremely aggressive and violent breeds and rehome them. Those dogs are passed to unprepared families that end up having a dog that mauls other pets or kids. Dogs that cant be rehomed, show extreme cases of animal or human aggression should be euthanized.

The black dog especially was overjoyed to get out its cage & so eager to please, quite overwhelming to see these unfortunate dogs get proper training time 😊👍

I’ve adopted 3 dogs that were labeled as dog aggressive…none of them…were dog aggressive 🤦🏽‍♀️ one stayed at a shelter for 6 YEARS b/c of this label. I took him home and I haD NO ISSUES WITH HIM. Ever. With anything. All of these dogs lived together, and even allowed me to bring in other foster dogs. THE MISLABELING NEEDS TO STOP.

Any dog in that environment is going to have problems because they don’t get enough exercise and are over stimulated by all the chaos going on there. The GSD is a real beauty, love the markings.

That is sad what happen in Australia. You have been through a lot to stay the Dog Daddy. This is a good thing that you do . There are lots of people that don't know how to help their dog to be more knowing their parents. So both of them can live easier.

What a magnificant and beauty. He does not seemed agressive. I bet he had never a colar or leash training so he react to this "thing".
With lots of love, socializing and training this dog could make a great pet. He would be in a one dog household but could adapt to a friend depending how he is progressing. He seems quit young that is definitly in his favor.

I hope they didn’t put that pitbull down. The problem is when dogs are lost for a while, and are eventually found, they need some time to decompress. And a shelter is not the best to do so. Plus they don’t give them enough time to decompress before labeling them or putting them down. It makes my heart break so bad. Hopefully that Pitt Bull got a second chance.

I visited a couple once. They allowed their three winners to gallop to wards me across a court yard. I entered the house and it continued. They made no attempt to correct them. I shouted stop that's enough. All three went silent and went to their baskets sofas. I asked for biscuits called them one by one gave them a treat patted them on the head and commanded them to return to their bed. They did so calmly and in silence.
