sorry for the delay. I did it myself and its easy to do as long as you find instructions how to remove the dash panel. My Sport came with the connectivity package. All I did was remove my old unit install the 430 and it worked perfect.
I have only heard the alpine in person once so personally its hard to say. But the Wrangler JK and JKU systems have always sounded weak. However the thing that helps is by turning the mids down to -2 or more and the treble to max and bass to +7. This IMO and several others sounds great including people with the alpine system. And to make it rock look at the Mopar Kicker Speaker Upgrade. This is what really makes it rock!!! Easy to do. You can get the kits cheaper on eBay.
Not sure if it will void my warranty. Very very easy. The unit itself is plug and play. This is the stock navigation. The 430N and the 730N. Not sure about the DVD player. I pretty sure it is suppose to work while in park.
The actual connectivity package giving you U Connect with EVIC and Bluetooth Streaming is $395 extra IIRC. The 430N RHB Mygig Unit I want to say is in the $800 + range as an option.
Thank you for the demo! I was wondering how this compares to my VW touchscreen and voice radio. The extra hard drive is nice, but I miss the SD card slot. Also nice to see the GPS is Garmin. A demo of navigating the music on the iPhone via cable would also be nice.
Soooo....if I have the control buttons on my steering wheel, I have the connectivity package? Cuz I don’t have nav on my stock radio...not sure about the USB, never looked lol But I can do all the stuff you were doing on steering wheel and can see my tire pressure and stuff on dash Trying to see if I have it or how to get it cuz apparently I’ll need it to do this Hemi swap Thanks in advance for any info
Finally picked up a Crush 13 Sport with connectivity last night. Where did you purchase your 430N from? Also will my 1 year free XM go away if I switch head unit?
I also have a 2012 Jeep wrangler with uconnect and sirius XM with subscription. Sounds like you have the same. If so, do you know the part numberof the 430N you installed?. There seems to be many flavors out there and I want to ensure I buy the correct one. I just want the 430N RHB to replace the current 130 I have now and keep uconnect and sirius xm working..

Yes for the most part it works nearly the same. However the U-Connect works both with bluetooth streaming audio and the plug in usb cable.

I have not tried changing the color. I will check into it.
Was there any issue with Satellite radio after installing the 430N? Did you have to involve the dealer in any way when you installed the 430N?

Did the dealer change out the head unit for you? What did you have to go through to get the 430 in the Sport?

Does turn by turn nav and radio stations show up on the evic screen??
I looked again at the menu and I could not find anywhere to change the color.

I've tried with the iPhone and won't recognize that a USB is connected.
