  • "Big Mama" a 1967 JCB 3C mk2 old timer working hard in the camping site making a position larger for a mobile home, the soil was not so hard but the tree roots was! Not bad for a 53 year old machine.

You could be right, but this model was only made 2 wd. But if you are talking about cylinders, it is running on all 4, but this video was made shortly after a complete engine rebuild and it was being run in, hence the low reves

Howdy! I also need help with information! I have a JCB 3C Mk2 Backhoe from 1968. The hydraulic pump broke and I can't find another one, because I don't have its original code anymore. Can you please find me the original code for this pump? Thank you very much!

And so easy to work on NO computers! The average mobile phone has more computing power than the 1st space rocket that landed on the moon lol

How does someone believe a 3Cmk2 was built in 1967, when production of MK2 didnt start until 1968, & even then, the 1st year had a different shape cab to this, so the earliest it could be is 1969...but wait... the switch panel is one side of the steering wheel & the clock cluster the other...so later still..about 1970 ! Would love to know how 1967 was arrived at ????

The JCB 3 went into production in 1961, followed by the JCB 3C in 1963 and the JCB 3CII in 1967 - a model which stood the test of time, staying in production for the next 13 years. But I can only go by the date on the manufacture plate and as for the cabin I believe it had been replaced as all cabling had been cut and nothing was connected to the dashboard. But if you know better I bow to your superior knowledge

But wait... I cant believe someone would get their knickers in a twist over 3 years! It's still an old machine lol

@@MakingWavesPresents Date on the manufacture plate ? really ? They dont put that, just the machine serial number, which does NOT include any date related figures, you need to refer to build records to get the date from the number !" & they did NOT make 3Cmk2 before 1968 !!!! Also, my remarks regarding the cab & dash making this even later still apply ! Even is the cab has been changed, the shape of the foot step is different for the earlier machines, as already stated.
Ive 40 yrs in the JCB industry !

@@johngoodsell6641 wow a real live anorak! I must say I really don't care how old the machen is. I supplied the data to tractor spare parts they supplied the parts and the manufacturer date and the parts fitted end of story. But if it means that much to you should I change the details to really old JCB?

@@MakingWavesPresents Well, what a loud mouthy type you are, little wonder you say later on that you had a bust up with your boss who owned the machine ! Clearly an attitude that no one can point out when you get it wrong. But hey, feel free to carry on putting up misleading information to confuse people trying to learn this stuff, FACTS dont matter, just your EGO !

Just running the engin in after a compleate re-buld, you can start here to follow the story ;) : ua-cam.com/video/R4ANzNfxTNY/v-deo.html but you must also remember the JCB is 53 years old so you shouldnt push the hydraulics too hard!
