Why do filmmakers have to change when is clearly said in the Bible ... at the 25 min. mark , the narrator said "and now man is equal to me" (God)....IT DOES NOT SAY THAT! We are made in the Image of God....but we are NOT EQUAL to God!
I can never understand why they change things. There's almost a perfect script already written and I never tire of hearing/watching it. It's like the old song "Tell me the story of Jesus. Write on my heart every word."
Agreed..I picked up on MANY differences.. If I watched this with the sounds turned off, Id never want to be a Christian.. everything seemed so depressing.

It was a loose translation from the narrator saying because they did eat the fruit now they were equal meaning divine and hence is why God had to put them out of the garden. The movie and directors aren’t trying to convince anyone that scripture says we are equal to God but what the devil is trying to do is convince you not to watch this movie that you know in your heart God led you to. I am a Christian and I really really love these movies I just noticed this channel the other day and it is like a treat for me to watch these Christian movies while I am getting settled down for the night before I go to sleep
Have you ever watched a Biblical Film and never wanted it to end? Well, this is one of those films that is beautiful and helps create a wonderful understanding of God and how he created us and our Earth and every living thing. Also, the plants and fruits and shows us his love for us. I only wish this same film and amazing actors could pick up where it left off and continue the rest of the Bible. Thank you for sharing this magnificent film with us all and may every one that watches know that God loved us so much he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins so that if we believe we may have eternal life with our Lord, free of pain and misery and full of joy and happiness 😊

Please read Genesis Chapter 7! There were only 8 people who entered in the Ark (not 10 or more), and it did not start to rain until 7 days later. The ark was a huge shiplike structure, pitched inside and outside with pitch( see chapter 6); not a beach hut full of holes. May the LORD Bless your efforts. Notwithstanding, the truth of God's word is very important when presenting HIS Story.
Film makers cannot recreate . Man cannot flood the earth. So why that trouble you?? Be glad they trying to tell the story about God. Jesus said, If they are not against us, they are for us. They are getting the name Jesus out there. Because you cannot reach everyone by yourself.

Expecting a perfect depiction in a film shows you aren't considering the MANY reasons that an accurate depiction is not possible. For one you'd need a flood so large and catastrophic that filming it would be impossible...so there's that. That shouldn't really be the point or purpose in watching someones film sermon about genesis, whether the boat looks satisfactory. They have a budget, and it's not like Marvel and Disney money.

I'm no scholar, and Genesis is not one of the books I've read multiple times by any means at all. But there are a lot of statements in this movie, attributed to God that I am all but 100% confident are never spoken in God's own word. Just something for anyone who checks out the comments to consider.
This film narration has been done explicitly magnificent to the truth that prevails each heart. The Lord on high reveals glory upon those who live with a pure heart. As I have experienced, we create our path and it is unto all to choose. The pure heart holds intuitivness that leads the heart to happiness. going from thinking to feeling is the key. The ending of this film truly proclaims what has become, as the leaders of this world have brough pain and suffering to innocent because they have fallen away from the true self, which is in the likeness of God. The spirit of God breaths love through our hearts and it is good. Be not be led astray.

He sent them into captivity/slavery WITH SHIPS (Deuteronomy 28:68) for not keeping the covenant. You have the wrong ones. Plus scripture says when His people get back to Israel, Israel will be at peace. Worldwide exodus of them leaving the lands of their captivities is in the future. Book of Joel 3 and other books has this. Israel haven't been at peace. So these you consider to be them are not it. Refer to Revelation 2:9 and 3:9. The world hates the real ones. How many of us have tried to read the begats and never got through it. I couldn't get through it until I got to David and was able to trace down to Christ but all of the begats in the Bible put me to sleep!
that's why when recommending someone to read the Bible, it's best to read Genesis, then go to the new testament in John etc. Nobody new should be trying to read those old testament books first.
I used to feel the same, but this time, God made it so clear how important it is to account for all generations from Adam. It validates all scripture and traces the lineages of the 12 tribes of Israel and the lineage of our Savior, Jesus Christ! I read it with a new respect and understanding of how our Lord preserved His word for thousands of years. Thank you Jesus!

This movie is so beautifully done. One of the things that stood out to me is how the movie uses actors who are regionally accurate according to race (not that it really matters lol), but it's cool that any race of people can see their own race in the features of the actors in the beginning section. It's beautiful to show that we are all from the same people and descendants of Adam and eve. Our father loves us so much and has helped us at every turn and we've done nothing but reject him and spit in his face and even deny his existence. I can't wait to experience the full dwelling with our creator and to be rid of this wicked world that we don't feel accepted in. His acceptance is all that matters. I'm ready to go home so bad. Stay together with our fellow brothers in Jesus and be strong and know that we go home soon.

The seventh day of creation was left out. God rested on the Sabbath, the seventh day from all His work, blessed and made the day holy. Only God can make a day holy. Why was that left out? Read your Bible for yourself and ask for the Holy Spirit of God to lead you into all truth.

Mark 13:32 and Matthew 24:36 are an idiom in reference to The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). He was telling his disciples exactly what day "the end" would come.

The majority of the people that are negatively critiquing this beautiful (and truthful) depiction are only upset because the people in the film are Black and Brown (the true depiction of Biblical and Israelite people). If these actors had blonde hair, blue eyes, and white/red skin (Biblical people did not), the comments would be A LOT different. The people and setting of this film are accurate, beautiful, and truthful. ALSO...the movie is clearly translated into English from a different language (the words do not match the lip sync), so the wording and scripture may be somewhat different than what was initially interpreted.

YEah, a movie will never fully and truly replace ever the actual Word of God, but it may help in understanding and acknowledging the circumstance and how it was taught to their children through the elders stories. I'm glad that many of you are wondering and knowing of why it doesn't say certain phrase; it also bothers me a bit. He sent them into captivity/slavery WITH SHIPS (Deuteronomy 28:68) for not keeping the covenant. You have the wrong ones. Plus scripture says when His people get back to Israel, Israel will be at peace. Worldwide exodus of them leaving the lands of their captivities is in the future. Book of Joel 3 and other books has this. Israel haven't been at peace. So these you consider to be them are not it. Refer to Revelation 2:9 and 3:9. The world hates the real ones. He says, "ARE YOU NOT LIKE THE CHILDREN OF THE ETHIOPIANS TO ME, O CHILDREN OF ISRAEL?" - AMOS 9:7 He compares their images to the Ethiopians who are black. Because they are black. The Messiah is too - Revelation 1:14. He said they would be hated of all nations of people. The world is in for a rude awakening of what they've done to the Most High God's people.

How many of us have tried to read the begats and never got through it. I couldn't get through it until I got to David and was able to trace down to Christ but all of the begats in the Bible put me to sleep!
that's why when recommending someone to read the Bible, it's best to read Genesis, then go to the new testament in John etc. Nobody new should be trying to read those old testament books first.
I used to feel the same, but this time, God made it so clear how important it is to account for all generations from Adam. It validates all scripture and traces the lineages of the 12 tribes of Israel and the lineage of our Savior, Jesus Christ! I read it with a new respect and understanding of how our Lord preserved His word for thousands of years. Thank you Jesus!

This movie is so beautifully done. One of the things that stood out to me is how the movie uses actors who are regionally accurate according to race (not that it really matters lol), but it's cool that any race of people can see their own race in the features of the actors in the beginning section. It's beautiful to show that we are all from the same people and descendants of Adam and eve. Our father loves us so much and has helped us at every turn and we've done nothing but reject him and spit in his face and even deny his existence. I can't wait to experience the full dwelling with our creator and to be rid of this wicked world that we don't feel accepted in. His acceptance is all that matters. I'm ready to go home so bad. Stay together with our fellow brothers in Jesus and be strong and know that we go home soon.

Mark 13:32 and Matthew 24:36 are an idiom in reference to The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). He was telling his disciples exactly what day "the end" would come.

The majority of the people that are negatively critiquing this beautiful (and truthful) depiction are only upset because the people in the film are Black and Brown (the true depiction of Biblical and Israelite people). If these actors had blonde hair, blue eyes, and white/red skin (Biblical people did not), the comments would be A LOT different. The people and setting of this film are accurate, beautiful, and truthful. ALSO...the movie is clearly translated into English from a different language (the words do not match the lip sync), so the wording and scripture may be somewhat different than what was initially interpreted.

YEah, a movie will never fully and truly replace ever the actual Word of God, but it may help in understanding and acknowledging the circumstance and how it was taught to their children through the elders stories. I'm glad that many of you are wondering and knowing of why it doesn't say certain phrase; it also bothers me a bit. But, we should not make a huge deal about it; only fill in with what we know is true, and to preach the complete gospel for shall all know before any other factors.
