King of the Ring is so stacked this year. There's no way Triple H can book it in a way that won't piss someone off. But, I love the unpredictability of having this many potential winners.

Looks like it’s might actually happen. With Bobby Lashley injured, Carmelo would have no reason to advance any further.

@@bronze6877 first of all it's feel super weird someone's taps out on submission which isn't even opponent signature or finisher that's like getting pinned by powerbomb, ddt, suplex which isn't opponent signature or finisher. Anyone tapping out or pinning by non signature or finisher makes them hell weak. Only jobbers and lower midcards are supposed to lose that way

Now jey uso is top face of raw and more stronger in his character when he faced Gunther previously while Gunther has suffered lose against sami Zayn so jey uso has higher chances but lose due to interference

Drew was definitely not winning, Punk would have cost him, same for Finn Balor, WWE is just waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on Balor when he turns into a serious egoistic prideful Heel, that will happen once JD as Faction is done.

Gunther v Lashley would elevate that tournament like no other. Also they need to push Lashley like the monster he is I’m not saying he should beat Gunther but win the SmackDown side
I agree. Gunther said his dream match was Lesnar, but since he's gone Bobby is the closest thing remaining to that role of a legitimate heavyweight fighter who can easily be booked as a believable monster against anyone. The two top monsters going at it, and Gunther would have to get technical because he's a foe that he can't overpower like most opponents.
If they want to do the Pride vs the Bloodline in the future then they can't have Bobby lose to a henchmen, they need to show he's a force. When they do that feud, Tama and his brother should be fighting the Street Profits while Bobby faces Solo.
Gunther, Jey, LA still needs to be pushed to main event and win WH/WWE titles. Bobby, Randy, Aj, Ray are the old gaurds who their role become to elevate other wrestlers since they have won it all and don't need a push/win title

Hurt Business vs Bloodline was my dream feud, but Roman probably too scared to pick a fight where he didn't have a number advantage. Lashley vs Reigns, Cedric and Shelton vs Usos, MVP vs Heyman on mic, and they could even run Omos vs Solo. They could have built a PPV around that rivalry.

Randy Orton will easily outbaby face in Saudi, the example Santi is giving is from Crown Jewel PLE where Knight was the only baby face in the feud. Randy is known for getting bigger crowd reactions in Saudi, especially when Saudi fans have their own minds and choices and just doesn't blindly follow American fans (like UK fans do).

I think they’re gonna push Styles so that they get LA Knight vs AJ Styles 3, have Knight take it still but it feels like that’s how it’ll play out.
I agree completely with the raw side. Notice how each brand’s winner has rivalry matches? Gunther gets Sheamus into Kofi into Jey. It would make sense for LA Knight to get Escobar into Toma Tonga into Styles into a dream match vs Gunther.
To me that’s what feels like will happen. They have two “satisfying” brackets from a story perspective to lead the ultimate finish.

There is nothing stopping Randy orton from entering the finals atleast he has been so protected since returning at survivor series and hasn’t been pinned in 1 on 1 action the only time he got pinned was in the chamber by drew from Logan’s brass knuckles.

Bit of a hot take but, following your predicted bracket for the King of the Ring, it goes well to further the narrative I think is being pushed:
LA Knight's eventual "corporate Rock" swerve heel turn, following winning Money in the Bank. If this guy has been in winning situations in two world title matches (vs Roman in Saudi Arabia and again at the Rumble), been screwed out of #1 contender opportunities twice by AJ Styles, and now making it to the KotR finals just to fall short again? That's the perfect combo of in-character bitterness and desperation to see Knight become the next big heel champion and finally take his step to top of the card.
I don't seem him as heel, remember he was a chicken heel and a jobber but fans cheered him to the point he became babyface and the reaction is still same, and LA Knight is still the same character Cocky and arrogant but a babyface.
@@ChrisJericho22 That's why I said it would be akin to Rock's heel turn at Survivor Series Deadly Games in 1998 to become Corporate Champion. Even though Rock was already super hot and recently turned fully babyface naturally just by popularity, he still pulled a swerve heel turn by selling out to guarantee his spot as champion. I can see LA Knight pulling a similar move but more out of frustration of the top prize being within his grasp but pulled away due to other people interfering and/or costing him his shot.

The only way I can see Tanga Loa winning vs LA Knight is if we WWE do want to set up a situation with Tanga vs Jey to maybe give Jimmy a reason to come back and actually end up helping stop Tama Tonga and Solo from interfering and resulting in Jey winning. It's a long shot as I agree that I can see Gunther being the King of the Ring but it would help set up the storyline for Jey and Jimmy moving forwards with Jimmy possibly being moved to Raw similarly to how Jey got moved over last year

I think with all the comparisons of LA Knight to Stone Cold makes LAK winning the Kotr match up with my expectations, but also Gunther is undeniably the character that matches the King title the best.
