Damnnnn. More and more insight into the workings of a coin shop. Makes one appreciate ALL that you guys do. And the TRUST that you’ve instilled for people to LEAVE a LIFELONG collection, for you guys to inventory and payout honestly.
If you sell your collection or bullion or junk you have to pay capital gains tax on the amount you receive over your cost, which might be a lot if you've been stacking for years. It's better to leave it to your kids (or whoever) or incrementally give it to them. Then if they sell it right away there is no tax liability as the value at the time they receive it becomes the new basis for determining if any capital gains tax is due. .

Is there no tax on gold or silver eagles no matter the value in FL? Iv been charged tax on gold 1/10 gold eagles at other shops in tampa before ..
no sales tax on gold eagles at any level...US Coins are exempt from sales tax in the state of Florida
