That is where repentance comes in, God is just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So if we forsake god repeatedly without repentance and acknowledgement, God will deny us as well. He is fair and just. But once you return to him he will renew and redeem you! Once saved you will always be saved because we know what to do as believers when we fall short.
