- Sweet, this is the start of my final year of building. Got my kitchen all finished up and put in the Ove corner shower unit...
Hi Mark, really great to see the continuation of your build. The cabin looks like it weathered the cold winter well. I love the shower. It has been informative and fun to follow you and this build. Thanks for keeping it real and I can’t wait to see your progress on your next video. 🐎❤️🦛
Had been waiting for some months for your next video... I was worried something happened! So glad to see this new one posted. Thanks for taking the time to process the film and share your experience. Love learning how you are accomplishing everything. Look forward to the next video!
Thanks! I sold my house on the coast so I spent a lot of time fixing up my other place and moving, set me back on the build for awhile. Trying to move in my cabin now but failed my final inspection last week, we'll see how things go day after tomorrow :)
@@markkarnowski5323 ok! Thanks for the reply! Wishing you good luck and excited for the next video.
PS, the shower was hell. I just built a new bath in my basement and used vinyl sheet walls, it was really easy and they are super easy to keep clean. The glass doors caused some cuss words because of their weight, but your shower looked like an install nightmare!
Keep up the good work Mark - glad to see you're back at it.
Expansion joints over the corners of the doors and windows would help a lot. In your cold climate I would even be tempted to use it at the bottom corners of the windows.
Nice to see this video! Do you have anytime to talk about sketch up and how you designed the cabin? Your videos have been a godsend
Hey! Thanks, glad making my videos are helpful to someone. Yeah, was thinking of a video on designing a place.. The sketch up I use is so old it was free back then, so it's kinds outdated for making new videos. Building it in software first was so helpful, like you already built it once before actually building. Although I'm living in the cabin now, sleeping on the floor, failed final inspections and don't have internet yet 😀
Well keep us updated, you would be surprised how helpful these videos are, we’re in Wisconsin and being able to watch and see some pitfalls has made this dream of building in the country on our own possible, glad your well mark and you did an awesome job on the cabin
@@NotAPanini graduated from river falls WI, you have the same problem with snow that I have :)
