I used to be the 6th richest player in season 1 without spending a single dime, then I realised that the people around me were paying thousands of dollars. Now I don’t play.
As a donut smp player I would like to say that most people don't buy crates for the crate itself. We buy it because the more money we spend the higher the rank we are given. The higher rank gives us more homes to set.

Agreed donut smp does promote gambling to a server which a playbase that is mainly kids which is terrible.
Honestly as a donut player I can agree to this but I’m a f2w player and I can say that it’s pretty fun as long as you aren’t responsible and randomly spend all your money on crates. If you focus on the actual pvp it will be fun. It only takes like a day of playtime to get a few god sets and start actually pvping.

While the DonutSMP is a little pay-to-win, it is not as pay-to-win as it looks, PVP crate keys only give you one piece of armor which is worth around 3-5 billion depending on which armor piece you acquire, while this seems like a lot, all you really need to do to get started on the DonutSMP is mine lapis, sell it on the auction house for 500 million and keep doing that. Or, you could sell chorus fruit for 50-500 million per stack, I myself typically buy chorus fruit when teleporting to other players to PVP, while yes the DonutSMP is pay-to-win, you don't need to pay to actually win, it's just an option for little kids who can't grind for 30 minutes.

But baltop 1 is 1 quadrillion and the richest team on the server has 3 quadrillion plus a lot of spawners so if you kept buying crates you would have to spend over a million dollars to become as rich as them in game

@@dabmastero1610 Money is easy on the DonutSMP, if you really want money, just win a giveaway or kill players, if you kill a player in full maxed out netherite armour, you could turn it into a PVP Kit and sell it on the auction house for around 30 billion. In a single kill, you made 30 billion. While yes, you would have to get around 33 thousand netherite kills to get to a quadrillion, what I did was spend my money on Mob Spawners and use the money I gained from Mob Spawners to keep buying Mob Spawners, you can get a friend to AFK them while you get kills for even more money, it's really not that difficult.

I don't have a problem with a server selling items such as crate keys on the store, AS LONG as the server allows players to get them in-game. DonutSMP locks it behind a paywall only

The thing is it’s not even that bad, the purpose of the server is to pvp and steal other peoples gear when you kill them. You can grind gear to fight in a few hours so it’s not even that bad.

as a donbut smp player also you can afk in the afk room and getting 200 shards you can buy a crate key. Another thing is that you get a key all every 1 hour

I completely agree with you. The server is extremely pay-to-win and I have been trying many different methods to take down the server such as duping, lagging, and even obtaining admin or creative mode without commands. The owner is also an egotistical kid with 600K subs (DrDonut).

first of all, that isn't true because that's not how the crate plugin works (its not custom coded its off spigot) so they cant fake the percentages, the percentages on the items in the crate previews are the real percentages, and why would the main developer lie about his server in a negative way? and where is any proof of your claim.

Just so u know, in the new season u can chose which item u want. This changes the whole aspect of this video but last season u could get every key (except for booster and spawner) out off a crate that u get every hour

Yo, It's me from the stream. So I just wanted to adress something, See I was a Donut SMP player and used to play on the server. Once I joined, There was 10 messages per second on the chat asking to teleport to them for free loot, teamates etc... I tp'ed to a guy and he instantly killed me, I asked my friends who play Donut SMP and they said that there are more than 1k kids using this one phrase for loot and money. This just shows how messed up the server is... I also played the Smp for sometime, but most of the ways to get money were joining invite reward servers which were trusted and were affilated by the admins and mods. I quit mostly 2-3 months ago, cause it's very repetitive and we just don't have fun with people killing us every single time.. Also a suggestion caleb, Try to make the endings smooth cuz you end it suddenly and try to make longer vids to keep the viewer's attention. ( also pin this :D )

Tbh I would normally agree with this statement but most people dont really care what they get because its basically all worth the same amount of money, and the main reason for getting crates is the ranks as the crates give barely any money. It would take thousands of dollars of opening crates to even get close to the leaderboard and even then you get crate keys every hour so nobody really buys them unless they are very desperate or need a rank. Good video tho!
That doesn't justify it for being literal gambling tho, there will still be some people who buy it for the loot. And at the end of the day ur still spending more money for a higher rank
@@uDontSolo the server needs to make money to keep it running custom plugins aren't cheap and aslo you need to remember they have to spend 50 dollars or more depending on the host they use each month

the difference between crates in video games and crates in minecraft is: crates in video games are often made by the devs, but its against the official mojang tos for servers required to make it work properly to make it p2w
plus (i have never played csgo before but) i think those crates looked like cosmetic items instead of actual helping items

Superheroes are big business, literally, in Amazon’s fantastical new comedy. The timing seems apt - The Boys touches down just as Avengers: Endgame has nudged past Avatar to become the most successful film of all time. For those who simply cannot get enough of superheroes, it puts a wicked spin on some now very familiar archetypes: the fierce warrior queen, the lickety-split speedster, the flag-draped mega-god walking among us. But if you are sick to the back teeth of billowing capes, The Boys also offers a sly corrective to our current era of blind hero worship by aiming some nasty kicks at their softest parts. It is gleeful, violent and blackly comic, a raucous rocket full of Kryptonite.
The Boys takes place in a world where the so-called ‘super-abled’ are both real and omnipresent, dominating culture and commerce in a way that seems inevitable. The brightest and best are the Seven, a shiny supergroup represented by the blandly ominous Vought corporation and directed by calculating powerbroker Madelyn (Elisabeth Shue). These costumed paragons have been commercialised to an extent that even the Marvel merchandising machine might find a little distasteful. Between chat show appearances and energy-drink endorsements, the occasional bit of evil-doing is photogenically foiled, although Vought is also eyeing up some lucrative government defence contracts.
At first we see the stage-managed public face of these heroes through the eyes of admirers. Timid electronics store clerk Hughie (Jack Quaid) is one of the little people, happy to gaze up in awe at these larger-than-life champions. Annie AKA strobing crimefighter Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is a hard-working small-town hero whose future suddenly looks bright when she gets an audition to join the Seven. After a brace of upsetting encounters - one that leaves so much blood and viscera on the street that some viewers might decide to click over to the rather more jolly Good Omens - the scales fall from Hughie and Annie’s eyes. Turns out most superheroes have super-flaws and super-vices (as evidenced in an eyebrow-raising sex club scene). But if you pick a fight with Superman, how can you possibly win?
Enter Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), a shady CIA-type with a wandering Cockney accent and a fondness for swinging a crowbar. Butcher wants to reactivate his ad-hoc anti-superhero unit the Boys and sees Hughie as the first potential recruit. This cranks up the tension that fizzes through the rest of the eight-part series. It is essentially a tale of asymmetrical warfare as Butcher, Hughie and some other unexpected allies try to outmanoeuvre opponents with colossal strength, X-ray vision and super-hearing. As baseline humans, the Boys have to rely on cunning, inventive cruelty and dumb luck.

The Boys shares some DNA with Preacher, another caustic and hyper-violent tale familiar to Amazon Prime viewers in the UK (although unlike The Boys, it is produced by AMC). Both shows are based on comics by Garth Ennis - a writer who enjoys kneecapping authority figures, be they in capes or cassocks - and have been shepherded to the screen by producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The Boys has been repositioned for the US market - Hughie was originally Scottish and short, while Quaid is a wiry American six-footer - but as with Preacher, Rogen and Goldberg seem keen to honour the source material, and not just by faithfully reproducing Butcher’s barrage of F-bombs. Darick Robertson, the artist who co-created The Boys, based Hughie’s likeness on Simon Pegg, who gamely appears here as Hughie’s exasperated dad, a presumably fairly expensive in-joke.
For those that relish the luridness of Preacher, The Boys is similarly OTT but even scuzzier, operating in an often-nocturnal world of alleys, dive bars and basement boltholes. From behind a hefty beard, Urban is louche but menacing as Butcher, especially when eyeballing Homelander (Antony Starr), the golden-haired, shiny-toothed, seemingly perfect Superman surrogate. Amid all the flashy superhero grandstanding and cool anti-hero posturing, it is left to the youngest cast members to play something more relatable. While both have an appealing innocence, it is Moriarty’s maltreated but undaunted Starlight who, appropriately, feels like she is preventing the whole thing from collapsing into darkness.
With a second season already confirmed, The Boys is clearly ticking the right boxes for Amazon. They might even allow themselves a supervillain’s manic chuckle that they managed to get their deconstruction of superheroes out into the streaming wild before HBO’s similarly-themed Watchmen sequel series glides into view. But perhaps the best way to approach The Boys is to view it through the prism of another revered comic: Billy Butcher sounds like a Viz character, and the whole series channels the same anarchic, profane energy.
Season one of The Boys launches on Amazon Prime Video on 26 July.

You have not mentioned the fact that the server gives you a rare key every once in an hour which means that you will get at least 1 free key every day and 7 keys every week. So free keys don't really seem too much of a paytowin since you can get an expensive key drop from the free crate.

Another important thing to look at on the difference between (specifically CSGO Fortnite and PUBG) microtransactions and the donutsmp transactions is that the pubg fortnite and csgo ones are cosmetics like gun skins, emotes etc, looking specifically at csgo you can spend 5 bucks and get a 15k dollar knife or not but even if you dont you still get a cool skin that if you dont like can just trade so you can basically have nothing to lose especially if you are a skin collector, and looking at fortnite transcations you can get free vbucks, i think 500 vbucks with no battlepass when you get lvl 100 and daily vbucks if you get the zombie mode which yeah you pay for but still get free (cosmetic buying) vbucks tho its only 100 and PUBG same as fortnite but not sure about the free coins i dont play it that much, anyhow, DonutSMP is a scam and its cheaper to grind for the items instead of paying for them and risking getting jackshit, like who pays 2.99 for a sword with shitty enchants with a low chance of getting it when you can get hacks for like 10 bucks or even x-ray for free(a texture pack) and get 10x the better stuff, so yeah, i'd rather cheat than pay for stuff

Hey, i kinda know Donut from a while back and Hardcore wasnt his Start on his Server. His first SMP was a Normal one Keep inv on survival smp i played on it.
On this server he also had ranks which were also OP if i remember, the Rank Premium had /fly command and more
So, if you have enough luck, you get the enchanted elytra by getting the keys from lower tiers

What I do is I just afk in the afk shards area and then use those shards to buy the crates and I have a bunch of rare crates if I need loot

As a 5 month donut smp player, i can say that invite rewards were very popular tho they are against the donut smp rules cuz invite rewards is irl trading (i got banned for it too, i did invite rewards b4 they were bannable) invite rewards are still going and some guy named "oneguy" scammed me and some other ppl by doing 5t gws and thats a lot and btw no one buys crate keys, they buy only vip rank for 1$ and its not that big amount of money and i say, donut smp us very good tho im never going to spend money on the donut smp
