Correct me if I’m wrong but if the pope is as concerned about climate change as this video makes it seem, isn’t he blatantly undermining the entire book of Revelations and what it means?
Well from a theological sense it would mean that this is not “god’s chosen “apocalypse””and therefore is not what is outlined in Revelations. But you know..
How so? One thing to bare in mind is the Catholic Church doesn't actually teach a lot of Revelations to be literal. More than anything that it was written as a sort of message of hope to Christians of the time of it's writing who were facing great persecution from Rome. It has a lot of coded language to suggest this, in Hebrew Gamatria the number 666 would translate to Nero.
