- This video is both a quick exploration of the parts that are inside an older EM pinball machine, as well as an experiment where I placed cameras inside the machine to observe the different mechanisms as they operate while also seeing the action of the ball on the playfield. I'm actually quite happy with how this video turned out, and I hope you will like it as well.
Special thanks to Dan. H for letting me make this video using his machine. My only intact machine is on location, so while I've been wanting to make a video like this for a while I haven't had the opportunity.

I actually purchased this very same pinball machine for 25 dollars from a friend. I know nothing about EM machines but I have all the paperwork that came with this machine. It doesn't work correctly. After putting a coin into it, it gets stuck in the reset mode. I have made some mistakes cleaning it but will be correcting those mistakes as I do it again. This video helped me out a lot. Thank you.

Great video Alec! I have a Bally Captain Fantastic and it has worked great for almost 40 years but now all the lights on the back box are not coming on. I figure it is a fuse out but I can't find any fuses that look bad. Any ideas! Thankss
Really enjoyed these videos. Am diagnosing a 1969 Gottleib Airport machine. Sometimes the change from the first to second player skips back to the first player. And, the ball count is kind of flakey.What does these relays/switches look like.Thanks
Looking for advise for my machine is their an email or contact that I can reach on
i have a bally freedom. when the ball drains it will not go to the shooter lane. game says “game over” and shows to be on 2nd player. what is the fix? im new to pinball, is there a “reset” switch?

I do all pinball repairs I started on SS machines but now doing EMs as well. :)
And I even stream so you might catch me some time streaming my repair jobs on a machine. :)
