- For english subtitles press C. The Aston Martin model took second place in your vote in order for me to renew the Husky models. I had a lot of work on this model because it was mechanically very complex. It had a catapult that had to work with an opening roof. Chassis plastics and catapults have become very fragile after more than 50 years. Many parts broke spontaneously during testing and disassembly. I glued all elements together with cyanoacrylate glue and filled with baking powder. I also made the front bumper, which on the passenger side did not survive. I was able to activate the catapult mechanism which worked very nicely with the opening roof, but unfortunately it did not eject the passenger. The plastic figurine made by me was very resistant. She didn't want to jump out of the roof for nothing. I also made a classic Husky packaging in the form of a blister for the model. I thank you for watching. I had the Corgi version too! It had a bright red interior, as opposed to the brown one in this model.
I always thought it was strange they modelled a DB6 and not a DB5 (like the 1:1, 1:43 and 1:36 scale)

It looks like this model was a lot more work than the Batmobile. If I recall correctly the ejector seat was not very good when the model was new. Still, it’s a very nice model with a lovely paint job. The bumper repair is amazing.

Wow ! Its beautiful and colorful , highly décorative, but it also shows the évolution in the models with the matchbox moulds becoming more précise and detailed with the years.
I’m not sure if there is a muséum of toys but if there was it would be a perfect place for such a collection !

The fact that the ejection seat doesn't work is in my opinion unrelevant... because all the restoration work made by yourself, goes beyond the real perfection having in mind all the time that the die cast has been built (more than 55 years till now).

Super geworden 👍! Ich hatte damals das Modell DB5 von Corgi; der hatte noch mehr Ausstattung, eine robustere Mechanik und die Figur flog ca. 15cm hoch - war aber auch teurer.

I have a actual Deactivated Corgi model , there was a movement in the sixties to have the special effects of all Corgi/ Dinky / matchbox models disabled and eliminated on grounds of safety , my Aston has odd job removed and the sunroof replaced by a solid piece of plexiglass , all the other functions ( rear Shield , front guns , number plate spinner ) still viable .
I have not heard of such a version but I think it must be worth much more than the normal ones produced in large quantities. Kind regards
