I highly recommend for anyone growing tomatoes for the first time to grow the big beef variety if they can find them. They put on early and produce right up to cold weather. Our plants looked like living death from blight this year but those suckers just keep on producing tomatoes.

Off topic question: Any recommendations on how to get rid of leaf spot? It's killing my pepper plants. I've tried the aspirin in the agro thrive water. It's not working. Please help if you have any suggestions. Thanks.
Aspirin wont work as it's not a cure. You would need any antifungal for garden plants. That will help. I use baking soda spray. You can use a copper spray. But you need anything that is an antifungal. Good luck. @@THERUSTEDGARDEN I have a few 6 1/2 foot T-posts and a lot of 6-footers but by the time I drive them in 6 to 12 inches, I will be left with 5 to 5 1/2 feet above ground.
I am fortunate to not really have a winter I live in Zone 10A here in california so i can literally grow something 12 months out of the year, I had my soil tested again for my vineyard and etc for 2025 and sent the results to Steve Solomon and he was like you have the worst soil I have ever seen and then he said basically it would be cost prohibitive to do anything really worthwhile with the soil, the best advice i can give you is frequent small additions of water soluble fertilizer in a injector. Which is why I have a bunch of raised beds along with dealing with gophers.

How high above ground does the t-post need to be for tomato plants?
You can trim and prune but for indeterminate varieties 5-6 feet minimum. A lot of them grow 6-8 feet depending on the variety.
