Well, it just so happens that we also race bicycles and cow bells are commonly used at CX and MTB races by spectators so if it makes you feel better I’ve had the bell rung “at me” while I was racing. We also utilized cow bells at our wedding so maybe keep your uninformed opinion to yourself
