- 👉 Learn all about evaluating trigonometric functions with triangles. In this playlist, we will learn how to evaluate, sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant when given the sides of a triangle. If we have missing sides we will use the Pythagorean theorem as well as constraints to determine if the values of the sides are positive or negative.

people like you are the ones that should be going viral and making millions of dollars. Thank you for everything that you do.
Thank you so much for making these videos. Sometimes I feel as though you should be the one receiving my course payment instead of my prof. You have taught me more than he has. :/ Thank you again.
you are very welcome Nicole!!!
This guy is the coolest math guy on UA-cam!!!!
Omg you are a LIFESAVER. I literally watch your videos daily and rn I’m studying for my trig quiz and this was beyond helpful!! THANK YOU!
i need u as my math teacher haha
thank you good sir. My math analysis teacher sucks at teaching so these videos are my life line
You have done more in this video than my teacher has done in a unit! Thank you so much
Expo better sponsor this man
Haha for real!
Thank you very much. I sadly couldn't find it in my older notes. I'm more than glad to find your video for help.
If you’d be my Math teacher, I would gladly attend your class with the confidence that I’ll actually learn something
Teachers should take notes from you. You teach in a way that is easy to understand. You also break it down so people who aren’t even taking calculus can do the problem lol.
could the opposit and adjecent be negative in sin function if the coordinate is negative?
Okay, so just to be clear, we never draw a line perpendicular to the y-axis, because even tho it still creates a right triangle, the functions won't line up with theta and the given point because sin is always associated with the y value and cos is always associated with the x value. It would go against that, correct?
Thanks in advance btw :)
correct!
Brian McLogan awesome thank you!
you are very welcome!
thank you sir
THANKKKKKKK YOUUUU
Could the value of r equal to a negative value sir? For example the point given is (-8,3), is r equal to -7.416 or just 7.416????
no r is always positive
Brian McLogan sir thank you,
Brian McLogan sir could the answers in sin, cos, tan, csc, sec and cot be negative?
yes
this is so clutch
Are the points given always opposite and adjacent
How do you find the exact value
thanks sir
The useful side of internet
I dont get it... we didnt find theta..?
But what if the triangle isnt a right triangle? My triangle on my assignment is obtuse. :/
Can evaluate the six trig functions from there, must be toght
I'm sorry, as much as I appreciate your math videos, this explanation towards the end is really sloppy and unhelpful.
I had to modify my comment twice to make is more mild. Don't want to be seen as irrational, or even radical.
