Right on brother.. the legendary Stylistics. I remember when I heard Mike sing "lady in my life" at the washington coliseum with Rare Essence. I said then, that boy can sing. He damn near made me cry singing that joint. It was too many hard heads up in the coliseum so I just found me a honey and slow danced with her. Thanks for the great memories. I wish you the best brother.

Michael has been singing professionally for 37 years believe me there was no pressure on him replacing Eban. He was very excited and glad for the opportunity. As a matter of fact Michael and Eban are friends.

I was at the show last night Feb 14, 19 and It was NOT good!! I do not like the new singer and my girlfriend and her husband left the show!!!! The bloodstone was GREAT!!!

It did not work out with the Stylistics. You are right but trust and believe it was nothing that he did or did not do to cause that to happen. Their decision had already been made to go with someone else before they even called him. They were basically just getting their guy ready while Mike filled in. Sadly they never mention that in the beginning
I see, that doesn't seem right, that they would do that to him. He announced so excitedly as too I would've done if it were me. But as a longtime local R&B singer I could see coming from go go going into R&B is a subtle change and differences in styles. I looked at the Stylistics recently and they have found a new person who to me isn't as good as Michael so I'm curious to how this will pan out. It seems like they are doing auditions still.
I wondering why they don't try Jason Sharp at lead singer he seems to be qualified to me, or they could look me up since I'm available at the moment. But Thank you for the information. DCJOE
@@dcjoe3876 Mike was never a go-go singer. He just used Go-Go bands because that was the predominant platform of Music in DC. Everyone that knows Mike knows that he's always added R&B to go go. You can credit him for the so-called grown and sexy movement of what 40 and over GoGo is today
