How does free shipping work for international buyers?
The cat set of books had free shipping on them so I’m curious how that works since the international buyer must have to pay a shipping fee.
Here in Portland, the international shipping goes through Illinois, and they ship it from there. It's just like any other domestic media mail shipping. I'm not sure about the shipping after that, but for Ebay sellers it's no different than any other item.
If you look at or print out the packing slip, it will show what the buyer paid ebay (in addition to the original fee) to ship it from the international center to their location. Also now shows any VAT taxes they pay. My orders usually go through the Illinois location from NY as well.
I use GSP (global shipping program) It’s free shipping to the buyer for me to ship it their purchase to eBay, but they have to pay for eBay to ship it to them with duty, taxes, vats and international shipping cost.
