I started following you when I found a fellow Virginian who thrifts (I’m in Richmond and I do very very part time eBay), but I stayed because you are a wonderful human and you understand chronic fatigue/pain. I have endometriosis and fibromyalgia and I relate a lot to your body dictating your schedule. Please know we are all here cheering for you, and are so blessed by your honesty and your bravery. You are amazing and we are on your side.

I was watching you on my TV but had to open my tablet to type to you...I'm a depressive, have been all my life, I'm also full and perminantly disabled and I suppose if I got checked out I'd be on the autism scale....I have a high iq which is nkt as much of a gift as people think fjs I can talk down any help in my own head..I understand your repression.,I know when I'm in a big one but can't only try 13:08 to steer the ship, not calm the sea...I'm just coming out of abiggy, yes the sleep constantly, no friends, can't make a simply phone call..listing one item was like sticking an ice pick in my leg....most depressions ionky knkwwhen I'm out of them, looking back at how bad it was...they'd ones I knkw I'm I them, my therapist can't help...I found the only way that helps me is to drink water, keep away from any manufactured food and cleanse myself with nutrients and none processed crap...yes it might feel like yet another mask but it's myself care mask and if it coincides with some sunshine, even sunbed I can start in someway to lighten it long enough for my cycle to help out..onesuggestion you might want to try is to have a work buddy...as in a fellow worker bee who you can live chat for a half hour or hour on zoom or face chat while you both work on your flipping, be it photography, listing, packing etc..a one on one like minded person who isn't trying to tell you what to do but put some social cracks in that hardened bubble you're in but not in person next to you, not demanding but like another student at the next desk as you work

It’s so interesting because Vegas can be so different to each person. I thought I would hate Vegas because too much going on but I ended up loving it because I felt like I could just disappear and people watch and be a nobody 🥰 I’m sorry you are feeling so bad and I hope with time and rest you feel more peace and joy ❤️

Girl, I feel you! I spiraled into clinically depression over a decade when I broke up with my other half. I spent months just crying, unable to sleep but also unable to leave my bed. I pulled myself out enough to function, just barely. Then 5 years I lost my job, had a serious health issue and my Grandma passed away all within a matter of 2 weeks & i just shut down completely. The depression navigated into the debilitating type where I'm unable to do pretty much anything. Everytime I think I've hit rock bottom I discover that sh¡t has sub-levels... Bob, we love ya! Do what you need to do to make your life bearable, don't worry about us! And know you aren't alone 💜

I was at a conference for work in SF several years ago and could feel the overwhelm coming on. It was a big hotel and i was able to find an enormous potted plant or small tree and i hid behind it and called a friend. I stayed there until the conference was over. Hours. We do what we can. I have about 5 or 6 seasonal affective disorder lights and thats what i use sometimes to help jumpstart my brain. Besides cutting out stimulation It works for me. I get a pillow and blanket and find a spot on the floor and turn on my lights. My cats crawl over my head and stomach because its different so fun for them. I stay on the floor because the bed is too comfortable. Im sure youve read william Styrons Darkness Visible. If not maybe its work checking out. Its pretty raw but he was a literary genius and his description of depression is the best in my opinion. It helps people that youre sharing. I know if i went to a conference in vegas there arent any potted plants big enough for me. And i love talking to people too. But too much energy coming at me means ill crash later. Youre a gentle soul. I hope this moves on quickly. 🐈

Vegas is too much for anyone. I've done a few conventions in Vegas and they are exhausting and overwhelming! Take care of yourself and I hope that you're feeling better soon!

I am so sorry; I feel for you deeply about this. I have also lived with debilitating depression and anxiety for my entire life. It's so rough. I also get very overwhelmed with noises and lights and I don't think I could handle Vegas at all. And as an introvert, I absolutely must have quiet time all by myself. Take some time to do what you need to do to feel better; don't worry about what other people will think. Give yourself grace. Also, run if you want to run and if it makes you feel good. You are beautiful just the way you are; please let go of the idea that you need to change the way you look. Our society is absolutely toxic in the way that it makes people feel about themselves.

You don't owe anyone on the internet anything, just do what feels right for you. I appreciate you, and hope you can allow yourself the space and time to heal.

Thank you for being so forthright - being open about mental illness is always an act of bravery. One thing you might want to contemplate is adding a "thank you but no" message to your future whatnots around messages of concern. I went through a fairly deep depression and messages of concern from friends and family were a trigger for me after the fact. That was just my reaction but if you think you might have a similar you might want to set that boundary with us, your fans. We're book people so (I'd hope) we're all fairly empathic and should abide by your wishes.

Totally understand! I am a part time reseller but own a horse farm where we utilize the horses for kids who have autism, ADHD and emotional trauma. People are always saying...."you need to get a bouncy house, food trucks and games for an event..." I try to explain that it's just too much for them to process and it's an overload of stress that may take weeks to recover! I have had many parents/ guardians say that when they turn into the farm their child automatically starts to relax because of the peaceful environment. Thank you for sharing your experience! I have ADHD and I can’t handle events, need sleep, people usually think I’m snobby, but I’m usually overwhelmed if I go to events with lots of noise, people, things, lights, etc. take care, hang in there.

I've been through some darkness over the last several years. All I can say is, pull back the reigns and slow down your expectations: NOT saying you need to quit, just you may need to shift. If you push yourself it won't help. Besides all you're going through there is a YT thing called burn-out. Find your new pace. As you get older you'll find there's ways to adjust, not that you're old, just that the body changes and yet our mind keeps thinking we're still someone from our past. Embrace yourself in the refining of life. Peace....and breathe deep. 😌

I really appreciate you for this conversation. Sometimes I don’t notice when I fall into these depressions because like you, I am high functioning. And I didn’t realize that I was in a depressive bout until recently when I realized that I wasn’t actually sleeping and I couldn’t get into any books and books are my escape. So I really appreciate you opening up and being honest about this because sometimes it feels like you’re alone even though you know you’re not alone.

I also have anxiety and depression and it’s rough!! I was in the shower lasting just bawling my eyes out! So I totally understand! I know this won’t help but the pictures you showed your look absolutely adorable and that outfit was sooo cute!!! And I’m not just saying that! We're here for you as much as digital strangers can be. Conferences are hard when theres a lot going on, I can only imagine Vegas on top of that. It is perfectly reasonable to day it was too much. Depression when you're still getting by and doing the things that need to get done is often hard to miss in yourself and sometimes takes someone trusted to call you out. I had a layover in Vegas airport recently and as soon as I walked into the airport from the plane I instantly felt awful, I wanted out of there asap! It just has this weird, negative energy.... glad you are back ~ one day at a time
