    Update to previous post: I ordered the kit and spent the afternoon following these instructions. My Makita started up on the third pull. I didn't test the compression as I couldn't find a tester. I will mix up some fresh fuel and see if the overall problem of cutting out after 20 mins is fixed. This was an awesome video to follow for someone like me with average mechanical knowledge/skill.

    Update to previous posts: Ordered the kit and followed your video. Makita is now working really well. Not over-revving, not cutting out, idling nicely and getting through a whole day of work. Thanks!

    Top notch video! Many thanks from the UK. Used this to service the carb on a Makita RBC2110 strimmer. Gasket set to search for:
    Kawasaki TJ27/270K
    CTS TK7
    Available from Amazon as a set with all the required gaskets and O rings.

    I wish they still made the mikita weed whackers to stroke. They were the best machines I've ever bought. I think I left a store 1 day with 4 of them and they finally all are used up. Wish.
    I can purchase more

      The older Makita were built to last, especially the engine part. Note: no carburetor will last forever without rebuilding and replacing its rebuild kit.

    Struggled all day trying to work out why my makita RBC2110 was running rich. It uses this Teikei TK7 carb. Opened it up twice and the diapragms weren't too far gone. Then saw you make note of the main jet o-ring. Which could be the reason. There's no adjustment screws to compensate. Ordered my kit. There's no clone options for these carbs on ebay or aliexpress.
    The original company that made these engines was Dolmar (LT-250, LT-27) which was later bought out by Makita. Some parts are shared.

      There is no adjustment for this particular carby. When it's running rich, means more fuel injected to air ratio. Likely aside from the fuel goes through the main jet, some fuel also bypass the main jet through the side of the main jet oring. This oring will hardened overtime. The original or aftermarket TK7 kit doesn't comes with these orings. We custom order these orings to address this issue. We will add another oring roughly 20mm in diameter for the throttle body on another TK7 kit. There is no clone option or aftermarket carby. Thanks for watching our video and please do subscribe the channel. VARIETECH

    Hi mate, thanks for your video i jast have a question, how do you adjust the high rev jet? Does this carby have any mixture adjusting screw? Thanks

    • @Varietech-AU
      @Varietech-AU  Рік тому +1

      Sorry for the late reply. As far as I knew, this csrby doesn't have any L or H mixture adjustment. The L/H adjustment can normal be adjusted from the middle needle screw on the throttle assy but there is no access since it's sealed and blocked with tiny ball bearing. If the carburetor is working as fine, it shouldn't need any further adjustment. If the revs is way too low or too high, you might consider a full carburetor rebuild and adjusting the metering lever height using Walbro metering guage. VARIETECH
