Thought 'No way!' several times, but it did split everything you put on it. Quite impressed. I have 7 ton electric and it can't go through knots - only around them. Your is definetely more powerful.
Likely also dependent on wood species. I'm sure there's some impossible to split hardwoods that just aren't in my area. I've split red oak, white oak, hickory, sassafras, and red maple.
I almost bought one of these but ended up getting a Yardmax 9 ton instead. Both seem to be great electric options. I wish my 9 ton was taller like yours. I also like the catch trays on yours.
Yes, very comfortable splitting height is worth it, even having to lift the logs up to it. The side trays are great... It's just enough room to hold half a log while splitting the other half.
Thank yoou for the video. How fast is it for a one way split? Only suggestion would have been to eliminate the music. I would rather have heard the machine work than the music.
18 seconds for the full 20.5" length. Less if you're splitting only 16". And easy split stuff that splits right away you can back it up and only taking 5 seconds or so.
@@realhouseDIYthanks. I just saw the sale, ending today, at Lowe's. Unfortunately, I'm not quite reading with the funds and I am still checking out all the options.
What's the elevation where you live? I'm interested in hydraulic systems operating above 3,000 ft elevation. Your machine looks like it's well designed for cavitation problems from low atmospheric pressure. thanks.
I have a Harbor Freight 5 ton splitter that is around 10 years old. If it ever craps out, I am going to get one like yours! BTW, how much does it cost?
It's not too loud but I prefer to wear ear protection. It does not come with ear protection. The manual states to wear ear protection. But does not say how many decibels.
I have a number of other videos just showing the splitter running if you need to hear what it sounds like: ua-cam.com/video/4844TgLbRSw/v-deo.htmlsi=nqjhp7ruceBhwMl4

@@realhouseDIY thank you. Do you hav any recommendations where to purchase for the best price?
I had purchased from Woodsplittersdirect, but Lowe's looks like the best price right now. $999 sale price

New video is up on my channel. Just log splitting, with normal sounds of the log splitter.
Thats some beautiful red oak!
Yes all red oak this year!

@@realhouseDIY Thanks, I appreciate your response!
What gauge and length extension cord do you use with your splitter?
@@j.w.anderson1420 12 gauge and 100'. I've used up to 150' though without any problems.
Does it come with hearing protection? Some videos I have watched it seems very loud.
