- Not so very important facts about a clerical collars. I share how to attach a clergy band collar as well. For those interested in Bystander Intervention Training here's the link: www.ihollaback...
So informative. I'm sharing this to my fellow clerics. NEEDED information. I'm glad that I have found this channel
So sorry I didn't respond earlier, thank you! Glad to be of help.
On of my classmates in Deacons' School remarked, after we were ordained, that she had failed to secure an engineering degree so she could learn to attach a clerical collar. I remember thinking that she wasn't that far off base!
Yeah, true. One day it goes on easy, another day it can take three tries before the thing is secure.
Great job 👏
thank you so much
Glad to be of help!
Unfortunately, women's clergy shirts don't often have pockets.
That's so true! My Rector I worked with is female used to talk about that as well.
My former rector is a woman, and she had many complaints various clergy shirts for women.
I have somewhat of an uneducated question, but is it possible to permanently be a deacon? Not knowing too much about religion myself, I was under the assumption that deacons were simply volunteers for the church. Is it possible to be ordained as one?
Sorry for the delay! Yes, the diaconate is a full and equal order, and predates the priesthood. But, it depends on what denomination you are involved. In the Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Anglican, Lutheran and Orthodox churches it's an order that requires ordination, and seminary study. The call to serve others is a duty of all baptized people. Hope this helps.
Can or should seminary teachers wear clerical collar?
I guess but my instructors didn't unless they we involved in Eucharist.
@@ThatDeacon were those instructors ordained or unordained?
@@thegospelpolitan8475 Some, not all.
@@ThatDeacon I mean those instructors who wore the collar, were they also ordained for pulpit ministry or were they just seminary teachers? I teach in a seminary but I am not ordained and I do wish to wear this collar which gives a distinct Christian/ slave of Christ identity.
@@thegospelpolitan8475 they were ordained in the Episcopal church. If they were to preside at noon Eucharist were would suit up, if not they wore street cloths.
And many women's shirts/blouses button in the back.
I'd hate that!
@@ThatDeacon hard to find a standard ladies' blouse that isn't in the jersey knit style
