Nice footage and good job on your performance! If you like, I would be interested in a short vlog style video about your thoughts on the tournament, your fights, preparation etc. :)
6:59 EXCELLENT PARRY, i was mentally waiting for the thrust and the cut. Slight move for thrusts, big change of sword angle when in turns out to be a cut.
Nice! I've been watching old HEMA tournament videos recently since we're still not able to have in person classes. I noticed most fencers in tournaments are from a German tradition. Wish there were more Fiorist!
Fiore is my favorite Master, fun fact, 8 years ago I was "A German". Then I fallen in love with Fiore and I decided to represent his style as much as possible.
@@indeswma4904 yup, that's where I'm at Haha. But when viewing tournaments like Swordfish and Longpoint, it seemed most fencers were using a German style.
@@jedi77palmer you said it right! generally speaking we only use "ben fatto" without "molto" because molto ben fatto sounds like "you did a great great job" but it doesn't sound bad anyway, it's not generally done that's it ;-) Oh! My greetings to you and your club!
Well done, good fighting techniques and very good spirit of the participants. I like HEMA, although as a medieval reenactor, I would have preferred that HEMA use more historical clothing instead of borrowing from modern swording clothing. But it is another story. Congrats again for your videos
We’re not costumers or larpers. We’re martial artists. The gear we wear is to protect us, not look like a costume. That’s like getting upset that boxers don’t wear suspenders anymore, or Karate guys don’t wear full period sanitize clothing.
Great video! Two quick questions: what’s the blunt you’re fencing with? As a fellow Fiorst I’m always looking for good feder alternatives! Also, do you find it difficult to close to stretto in tournaments? I’ve found it to be challenging since most of my opponents have much longer weapons and tend to avoid grappling like the plague lol :)
It's a Bellatore longsword. Well, in that tournament I did 4 sword grabs and 1 arm grab... But it was forbidden to do so, I did it because of my conditioning XD so I risked to receive a red cartel. Anyway, closing in is relatively hard, you have to prepare an action which makes the opponent move forward while you are moving forward in the meantime to let it happen by purpose, which needs quite a little bit of complex tactical thinking, otherwise it is possible to exploit some "Random situations" with proper conditioning ;-)
Ciao! Volevo sapere perché hai scelto l’autostrada per raggiungere Carmagnola? Da quale casello l’hai presa e in quale sei uscito? 😝😝 scherzo! Bravo fratello, ottimo lavoro 👍
The joke at the end about paying the referees was funny. Congratulations on your victory. Great job to everyone involved.
TwentythreePER thank you!

Schildwache Potsdam interesting request! I will work on it!
It's good to see tournaments starting up again!
Yes! Indeed!

That might be a regional thing, in the Pacific Northwest of the US I see more Italian styled fencers competing.
Indes WMA thats very true. The club I’m a part of practices Fiore and a few in harness
@@FedericoMalagutti as an Italian it was your duty, yes? Haha :p

Félicitations ! 🏅
I would love to see this redone with slow motion replays and commentary on technique, style, psychology etc...
I enjoyed this. Nice production man.
Haha, simpatica l'ironia finale. Bravo, bisogna mantenere vivi gli stereotipi sugli italiani. E comunque congratulazioni!!!
Paolo Peronio grazie mille!
Congratz, Federico!
thank you!
Congrats. I miss tournaments and travel.
Thank you. Eh, I can understand well what you are feeling ;-)
Awesome content as always, and congratulations on your performance!
Thank you very much!
Congrats on the win and being able to actually compete again. 👍
Looks like fun. I wish there were HEMA in my area.
I hope you'll find a club or a practice parthner in the future. Yes, it is fun eheh!
Bravo, molto ben fatto!!
Grazie!!
@@FedericoMalagutti I hope I said that right. I'm from Australia. Ursa Major HEMA Academy. 🤘

Wow, spear fights! We need them back in Poland! :)
I love spears!

I found out that there is a spear competition in this tournament. Under what kind of rules is it played?
You should contact Enrico Campobello on Facebook to ask for the rules ;-)
