Best Doxa review and history I have seen. Excellent job. Jacques Cousteau’s son Jean Michel, still wears a Doxa to this day. I have a sub6000T professional and we compared watches. Nice job on explaining the use of the bezel,as most people don’t understand it unless they dive.
Thanks. I specifically designed this channel in a way so that I cannot make money from the videos. I want to be motivated by watches, not money. So I have no goal of getting popular. I just want people to enjoy the content.
@@YoureTerrific Kudos! Inspirational, stoic stuff right here. Still think you're gonna blow up if you keep churning out stuff like this. Best of bests man.
I learned more from this review about watches than any other review I've ever watched. Your videos continue to astound me, the further and further I go back into your catalog of content.
Thanks, Erik. Since you know the history better and I, please feel free to correct anything I was wrong about. Hope to see you again in a post-covid world.
Amazing review. Really appreciated the color test. I’ve read about it, but never actually seen it. I have the exact same Silver Lung, and I absolutely love it. I do feel the need to add a professional dial to the collection!
Except this guy doesn’t title all his videos like a Ben Shapiro knock-off (“Grand Seiko OBLITERATES Rolex again!! Patek Phillipe SCHOOLED by this $1,000 upstart!!”)
This was a sincerely great review. It was informative, interesting, has great visuals and an easy narrative thread and pacing. Very well done! The watch is beyond cool
The hour hand is called "the dwarf hand" because, when underwater, it is actually non-important because only the minute hand matters showing the elapsed diving time. Regards.
What a nice touch with the background song, that 99.99% of people are not going to catch the significance of. Anyway fantastic production quality, attention to detail. I love your channel!
I love watches. And i've watched so many videos regarding watches. I must say you're videos are amazingly informative, especially the bit that shows why orange color was used as the dial (that's FACTS in video, not just texts that copy pasted from who knows where). Your voice is pleasant to hear, features other brands besides Rolex, AP, Patek, so on (i love these brands as well) but, when i watch videos like this one, i'm pulled by the beauty of the watch, (ex. the Monta Atlas video), the quality, attention to detail, etc. Then i look at the brand. So, keep this up and don't stop making good quality videos like this one, and as your channel says "YoureTerrific". Btw, subscribed just now. thanks
Great video! How does it wear on a small wrist? I rarely go above 40mm, but the small lug to lug is tempting....A black or blue fila would probably wear a tad smaller, right?
My dad wore a Doxa Sub 300t Professional Aqua Lung through most of my childhood, so it is sentimental for me. It got flooded when he and I were scuba diving years ago and it’s been dead ever since. The dial is flaking and I’m sure it’s rusted solid inside. I’d love to have it rebuilt for him. If anyone has a good resource for this, I’d love to know. One tiny thing. It has always struck me as odd that the minute hand is wiser than the hour hand. That’s not common, right?
Dunno about the crystal "capturing and focusing" the light, get exactly the same effect on my £150 Seestern homage and that has a flat sapphire crystal. Think it's more about the sunburst effect acting as a Fresnel lens. Maybe? Gorgeous watch tho' altho' in my homage heathen opinion the dial looks better without the additional Aqua-Lung branding and I don't really like "fake" acrylic style crystal, but I am a heathen so what do you expect?
Personally, I don't like the domed crystal. I like the flat crystal of the 300T. If only it had a decent clasp. I'm not saying the clasp doesn't work, but it does feel cheap. If I had to get one, I would likely replace it with a Rubber B rubber strap or a Barton leather strap.
Seastern and Tactical Frog are made in same factory in China as most of Doxa's parts... and they cost $200. The ETA2824/SW200 movements cost around $250. That shows anything over $500 on a Doxa is a ripoff.

Great watch! Great production quality, music, narration, good job! When this guy blows up I'll say I was one of the early ones.

Great video Evan. Production quality was great and good info.

Outstanding presentation. Best I've seen out of 100 videos I've watched about Doxa.Thank you.

Thanks so much!
That's the best demonstration of color I've ever seen!
I love your review. Not only we get the review of the watch, but also nice history. Not to mention very nice cinematography. Keep up the good work.
This may be the finest review I've seen in a year!
Fantastic video. I have just purchased the 50th anniversary searambler and super excited to see it when it arrives.
Those hands are utterly ridiculous, and only suit a watch like the Sub 300. Fantastic video.
The hour hand is called "the dwarf hand" because, when underwater, it is actually non-important because only the minute hand matters showing the elapsed diving time. Regards.
Great video! Very informational, I learned a lot! This is a cool piece. Your production quality is phenomenal!
Thanks much!
This is probably the best Doxa diving watch I have ever seen! Well dome
Looking to add one of these on rubber to my collection soon! Thanks for the video, you're my favourite watch review dude on UA-cam!
Amazing! Very professional! Always look forward to your videos!

Excellent video. Well done indeed. Very interesting and excellent presentation
Wow! Very impressed by the quality of your videos ! Many thanks for this review and all the efforts behind it ! Awesome watch !
This is the greatest watch review I have ever seen.
🙄
Awesome review, Evan! Big fan of the Sub 300, I think the 50th anniversary edition is the best one ;)
Another great video! Great production my man, time of research went into this and it shows!
Thanks a lot!
Videos keep getting better! Wonderful and informative. Well done.
Great video. So glad you covered Doxa! They dont get enough attention imo
Magnificent review! I think this now will be my next watch, greetings from Italy

Very informative.
The way you explain how orange make different. Love it ❤️💙💚
Very nice! I have gained an appreciation of this brand from your video. Thanks!
The ubiquitous Propsex Turtle (williard, shark fin, PADI, manta ray, turtle shell, ... etc, etc) has a 26mm dial and 45mm case.🙂
Absolutely love it! Congrats on the great content of your channel!
Great edit, info & context story
The 300T is the real icon of the Doxa range. Not to mention it’s a technically superior watch.
Thoughts on the new 200t? 🤔
Do you think the Tissot Sideral straps would fit the sub 300 or sub 300t?
What a beast of review. Thank u Sir!
Looking at the cylinder packaging, this was a watch from the Rick Marei era.
Really nice review! How big is your wrist?
Amazing video as always!
What a great review! Poetic even
Great video!

If you can wear a 40mm, you can wear this!
What wrist size are you? This is my favorite watch but not sure I can pull it off. 17cm wrist.

One tiny thing. It has always struck me as odd that the minute hand is wiser than the hour hand. That’s not common, right?
But... why'd they choose orange if the test shows it's the third best option behind light green and pink?
Men fear pink

Excellent vid buddy 👍👍👍
Fantastic stuff.
I'd love to see a Zodiac Sea Wolf Review.
If that's your cup of tea.
I can't decide which is a cooler name: Searambler or Time Titans.
Amazing watch ! Great review.
Brilliant review. I love your content.
Excellent video.
GREAT vid and review...thanks!!!!
Beautiful watch, wish I could afford it....LOL........great review one of the best I've seen.
Great video!
Sub 300 is timeless
I just love it love it love it

Haha Barton in junk. The factory rubber strap is FAR superior
great vid !!!!
Great video, but you never asked us to smash that subscribe button...are you sure you know how to UA-cam? :-)
Nor did I open with "Hey, guys".
@@YoureTerrific Or end with "Okay, ciao."
I miss the GMT. For me that would be my choice.
I think the best looking doxa is the sub 200
Love my doxa..would have to disagree looking great on a NATO or leather strap
Looks great on a n olive tropic which is also period appropriate

And yet if you want to buy this on the second hand market now you're looking at around £4k......not that I'm selling
The overly wide strap look is awful, I'd pass on it for this alone though.
ETA 2824-2 for that price???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There’s always that guy.
