- I went to Joburg the other week and did a little walking video in a mall on Saturday 03.09.2022. It was early in the morning so the mall was still quiet. There is heavy security around and they actually don't like you filming...well....

Looks like a nice, upscale mall. I love seeing videos of South Africa. South Africa gets a lot of bad press - and here in Australia, many of the white South African expats would have you believe it's virtually a failed state. It's great to see these videos, which challenge these stereotypes.
They arent wrong lol
@@Hhhh22222-w so why are they still in SA?
Its a failed state. Believe me
Ou state has failed and is non existant. The success of the private sector and the foundations built by it is what you see.
I like Your vidéo watch from France i com to south africa next year 2023
Enjoy @trafic
So cool that you are walking everywhere! Thanks!
It's not Johannesburg Mall, it's one of MANY malls in Johannesburg. It's Sandton City,a mall in Johannesburg North. One love 🇿🇦🇿🇦
What great beautiful mall🤗🤩
You went against all ODDS and finally produced this content. Well done😀
Trying my best to show people what they'd like to see. I'll keep walking :)
Vow so much big one.iam not seeing like this mall.very beautiful.
Very nice mall. Good video keep it up
I'll keep on walking :)
Looks exactly like the Westfield Shopping Mall in Bern, Switzerland.
Except the mall in Bern probably has steady supply of electricity.
@@williebrown4266 Leadership drive development, people vote their leaders so you get what you deserve therefore choose wisely. So far South Africa has done well compared to even other East European countries like Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria etc.
@@williebrown4266 What are you talking about? With all the backup generators, malls have an extended supply of electricity. However, since you are aware of this, you are just diminishing your own nation.
@@uklmngubane5661 white South Africans are the least patriotic people in the country. I'm not suprised really by this comment.
@@africanandproud6792 He's a coloured those are the least patriotic people in this country. Afrikaaners are more patriotic than coloured people.
It’s a beautiful mall like some of the malls or shopping centres that we have here. Thanks
Yes it is a nice mall
That is Sandton city...
@@thaboa.matlala3213 I was wondering which one is Johannesburg Mall when we have a few in the whole of Johannesburg.
SA is a lot more developed than i thought, wow.
It’s a great place
SA is Beautiful!
South Africa.
We have so many beautiful malls in SA 👌
But for how long??
I’m South African but it’s been so long since i visited this mall (~25KMs from home) 🤔
Nice 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Is it me or all the videos you make in south africa 🇿🇦 gets more views
You are right, I've noticed that trend on many bloggers as well, that make videos of South Africa. South Africans are obsessed about their country in the most beautiful way.
@@kagi2784 also why are there so many white population 🤔 this is africa
@@tydronlee8214 Idk. Maybe cause SA is a diverse country
@@tydronlee8214there's a long history behind that. You go to some places you would say the same of Indians, the only place in the world that has more Indians than SA is India 😃 the same as Malay people. You know what's crazy, I got Malay, Indian and white relatives. The Indians are more coloured than Indian, Malay prefer Khoi culture more, white are of French and English descent, and can't even speak those languages but speak Afrikaans which is derived from Dutch. It needs a sit down, it's a long conversation depending who you speak to. The country is very diverse, we still struggle with concensus and to find our way around that. I was fortunate to have grown up in that diversity at home. It wouldn't have been really possible if we didn't have our democracy though. I'm blessed and thankful to be South African.
@@kagi2784 oh
That's Sandton Mall in Johannesburg.
correct 😃
That's correct. I've never heard about Johannesburg mall
Sandton falls under Joburg?🤔
Looks like stores here in Europe...
This is Sandton City mall in Johannesburg City, Gauteng Province
Which mall is this?
Sandton
thanks bro
This is Santon City not a Johannesburg mall
Sandton City is in Johannesburg. Sandton city is not a separate city from the greater Johannesburg area. Don't let the name fool you. It is even run by the same municipal government.
@Mandla..correct
@@africanandproud6792 correct, But the name of the mall is Sandton Mall not Johannesburg mall
Walking please Hillbrow, Parktown, Braamfontein
Next time I'm there. I only had limited time and that was all I could do:)
@@TheWalkingVagabond don't do that in hillbrow Lol..your camera won't survive
@@TheWalkingVagabond Don't go to hilbrow.
So nice to see some white people around still living in South Africa.
They are living their best lives
Why is there a jacked black guy with a gun telling you to watch out for safety
He told me that it's not allowed to film that are for safety reasons. It was the section with all the luxury brands
@@TheWalkingVagabond Okay thanks for putting it into words I can't understand verbal English that well !
Johannesburg Mall???
Sandton
Well it is a Mall in Johannesburg
Called Santon City
Never. 💔

In terms of watching this demographically I can say western cape is much whiter and gauteng is more black
No, Cape Town specifically is only 25% white. The reason you see more white people is because the City is still setup like an Apartheid era city. With black people being relegated to townships and whites in the city. Besides, Cape Town is super racist anyway. Sorry just spitting facts. On the positives, Cape Town is a much nicer city. In fact it's nicest in the country, it's just the stench of racism that can't seem to wash off.
@@MosesMatsepane 25 percent seems like a made up number 😂
@@tydronlee8214 Actually it's 15.7% White now, 42.4% Coloured, 38.6% Black and the rest is others. Sorry I just said the number that I remembered when I used to live there. It was around 25% around 20 years ago. 😄 Pardon me, I didn't check the latest stats.

Stop lying to people. Thats Sandton city.
But Sandton is a surbab under city of Johannesburg under one mayor Mpho Phalatse tell me if I'm also lying.
It's still in Johannesburg, relax guy. Relax!!! Just change your tampon, you'll be okay.
@@BuhlebzNetwork Sandton City !!
@@kdabbi3546 sandton is in Johannesburg dummy
You are ignorant. So where do you think Sandton City is, in Sweden. It's part of the city of Johannesburg. Just like Rosebank and even Soweto. They are all withing the same city. It's like saying Beverly Hills is not in Los Angeles. But you wouldn't know that, would you?
