- New at Cedar Point in 2015 is a new ride experience for the coaster formally known as Mantis- instead of standing, you will now be sitting. But of course, with a new experience comes an all new name!

Fun fact:
A rougarou is roughly the Laurentian French equivalent of the werewolf. Not that this makes the name any less weird, but it does have some actual basis.

If you look up rougarou on google translate, it literally means nothing in no language.
The Rougarou is actually just a variation of the werewolf legend from the Southern US. It’s a corruption of “Loup Garou”, which is French for werewolf, I think. Really, they could’ve just named it werewolf and called it a day.
The tempesto and rougarou pasta joke had me rolling!

Okay so Rougarou is a french werewolf, so likely it would've had a dark green color scheme with brown trains. So why did the coaster get an bright orange color scheme with light green trains. REAAALLLY FITS THE NAME!
at least the supports are dark green, and i think the lagoon is dyed green as well : /
What are coaster credits? Am I supposed to be counting them? I've been on coasters since before I could even form memories!
Julia Therrien Its just a way to tell what coasters you have ridden. Each new one is a new credit, for example Ive ridden about 170 different coasters so I have 170 credits.

What does this have to do with Banshee
PLASTIC When it was first built, they were going to call it Banshee however people didn't like that in the 1990s so they changed it to Mantis. In fact Steel Force at Dorney Parks sign was originally going to be the sign for Mantis.

I rode this as mantis stand up. I like the floor less too...different experiences for sure....am the time I was there there was an Asian worker at the contols..I still chuckle as she tried to pronounce the rides name rogarou
