I grew up with this… my mom had one of his albums. When I was a teenager his music kind of helped me get through some tough times, when I learned he was gay it didn’t really bother me. He is still the world’s greatest entertainer.

Always knew but didn't care. As it says in this video, talent is talent, and Barry has bags of it. A great voice, great musician and arranger, and he really knows how to work an audience. I'm glad he's found personal happiness. He's certainly brought plenty to millions of others. If you've never seen him in concert, you've really missed out.

But we knew in the 1970s that he was gay, but it wasn’t really an issue because we liked his music.) But the thing that really jumped out at me was the offensive language “wheelchair bound.” I didn’t know he couldn’t get out of this wheelchair for two straight months. How was he bound to the wheelchair-with rope or chains? I truly hope the writer of this horrid script ends up having to use a wheelchair some day and someone calls them “wheelchair bound.”
