Unfortunately, he's 100% spot on. It didn't boil down to the system that was being run or even the play calling. I think the final straw was the delay of game coming off the sidelines on Wisconsin's final drive. Completely unexcusable. Hence the leadrship piece that LF referenced. There are many things during the week that the fans don't see......however, the issues show themselves on game day. Leadership on offense being one of them.
Did he just says that he thinks the play caller is over rated? You just fired the coordinator so you must think it is!
Calling plays is honestly a small piece of coordinating.
He seems unusually defensive on the Longo line of questions. I don't understand why he feels the need to dismiss what seem to be pretty straightforward questions.
Very defensive and sarcastic! Not a good look for him. He is feeling the heat!
It’s a normal question to wonder who calls plays bruh
Can someone explain what Fickell wants to do on offense? What is his style of play, what's his system?
I think he wants to run what Ohio State runs....they spread out the offense but also power run when needed. Did Longo really wanna do that? Not too sure about that
Can't believe he was so nonchalant about Locke starting again. My word. Do something different.
The audio here is awful. That being said thank you for posting this. It’s super telling that you got this on UA-cam before UW did. It shows how the AD feels about this.
Last note, his last 2 pressers have lacked any substance. In fact have undercut everything they’ve done the last few weeks. He threw his defense under the bus after the game against the Ducks, and now this…. Wow
@@stephenbayer8969 thanks for the note on the audio. I've been trying something new with the A and V the past few days and it's an improvement on the video side, but a step back for the audio. Have something in the works to get that adjusted.
Shits gotta change. That performance was not acceptable. Their current QB is awful.
Very strange reactions to all of the questions regarding the O coordinator. Idk how he thought this was going to just blow over? It doesnt make a lot of sense.
Fick is lost , being a smart ass now to cover up the fact he has no clue what he doing.
He was kind of a dick to questions that didn't require a dick response!
The direction is clear: move forward , evolve, progress. I am reassured.😑
This decision sounds a little messy to me. He doesn't know who is going to call the plays?
Kedrick, get it together!!
The ego of this guy would seem stunning, but that’s part of big time college football and the salary. The Badgers press of this era needs to continue to adjust and ask him the tougher questions. This is a big money sport now. His response to whether Locke will start was extremely telling.
this is what the Badgers media room looks like? jeez, figure it out
Harbough went through lots of coordinators at Michigan. They wanted him axed and look how that turned out.
That keyboard is a killer, dude. Fix that.
Who's calling the plays? Why does it matter? Wtf
A bit defensive and angry here. Yikes
Hire Tee Martin 🔥
isn't the definition of insanity doing the same exact thing over and over and expecting a different result? starting Locke sure seems like insanity from my seat
Really?! Never a doubt that Locke will start again Saturday? Let Mettauer get some reps and let him know he’s our guy next season so he doesn’t leave!
I think he doesn’t wanna call out his Qb in a press conference, but I think the change will be made come the 2nd possession WI has, especially if they don’t score righ5 after NEB.
Oregon does what Oregon does. Get assistant coaches..and even..head coaches....fired. Oregon specializes in that.
And word on Hunter Wohler?
Sarcastic, defensive. and his answers lacked clarity. Disappointing.
Super condescending undertone
Hes cringe
