    Shari doing great tip again, don't aim pocket, always aim smaller, whe you pocket a ball choose where you want to enter the pocket. Its actually rarely center.

    Thank you so much for these short and nice videos with lots of information. Can you please make a video about buying carbon fiber cues ? also it will be nice to have a video about cue tip and when it should be replaced !

    • @wdiddy1
      @wdiddy1 Рік тому +1

      99% of carbon fiber shafts are made in China so just buy anything you want and then practice. Tips are the same idea just buy a layered leather tip and I recommend starting from cheap to expensive. I've played with zan kamui,kamikaze,moori etc, I currently have a $5 collapsor tip on my $2000 cue and it works just perfectly well, I use spin on almost all my shots. Just take care of you tip and practice for hours. Its the player, not the equipment. Well I played well with revo but didn't like the sound and it was 12.6, I play Ignite 12.2 now and love it but I used a cynergy 1 day and won all 4 of my leaguee games that night. Its the player not the equipmfent!

    I really appreciate all the time, effort and thoughts you put into your videos (lessons). You have more of a 'math' brain than I do so I learn and love your explanations as well as physical examples. I am predominantly a visual learner. Often times when someone understands a concept they leave out important information as they rush to the end result, their ability to make a shot by editing out the errors. You have helped me understand concepts that I was trying to learn and improve on but couldn't figure them out on my own.. Thank you! [I am old and am recovering from a stroke. I actually have to learn the concepts as well as shots like someone brand new to the game. ] 🎄

    I'll explain my method of running the rail shots with boating terms: If you're pocketing a port rail frozen ball, you want port spin on it so it hugs the rail all the way into the hole, so you strike the cue ball a half tip or so on its port to put starboard spin on the cue ball. Left English gets left spin on the object ball. And it's elementary that you cut the ball right. Like Donovan sang ~First there is a cushion, then there is no cushion, then there is! lol thankyou lots.

    Thanks, Shari. Great topic and very helpful. Those frozen rail shots are tricky. I actually struggle a little bit more when the object ball is just off the rail. I tend to miss wide. I guess that means I am hitting rail first or overcutting too often. Anyway, Merry Christmas and enjoy your holiday!

    • @Sharivari
      @Sharivari  Рік тому

      Most good cues don't warp if you keep them at the right temperature. But if you go with Carbon fiber you are on the safe side, no matter what.

    The most difficult hanger isn't the most difficult. Same object ball but when the cueball is parallel with it or just a touch of angle makes that hanging ball so much harder.

    I faced the 1st shot myself many many times and came to the conclusion that depending on the angle sometimes I have to use different spins. If the cue ball facing the object ball is less than 45 degrees looking at the cushion, s then I would use the "cushion" side spin (if the object ball is on the left cushion, I am using left spin and vice versa). Shooting the angle bigger than 45 degrees I would use the "counter-cushion" spin. I never once missed with that method, though I am ALWAYS seeing videos showing ALWAYS the opposite side spin from the cushion, and that confuses me. Yes, all masters and teachers show it that way, and I do believe they are right, but I don't know why I am ALWAYS successful while doing it the wrong way. 🤔

    • @tonicogsf
      @tonicogsf Рік тому +1

      I think potting a frozen ball with outside spin is just harder, but surely depending on what you want to do with the cue ball, can be a great option. I think that’s the reason most people teach it with inside. I mostly play frozen rail ball with outside, but eventually have the need to play with outside or just draw/follow/center ball

    @variegate1 Рік тому

    At 5:57 "right spin will actually grab the 9-ball and just throw it a bit more to the left" ..... Yes that appears to be the result but that's not throw allowing the ball to be made, but the lack of collision induced throw. What a little right spin does is nullify the collision induced throw by allowing the surface of the cue ball to cross the object ball while spinning with right spin 'backwards' at about the same 'forwards' rate of the whole cue ball. This lets the ball surfaces impact while crossing paths while also reducing or eliminating the friction that causes collision induced throw, as you demonstrated, and the ball goes right to the heart of the pocket. It lets the cue ball hit the true contact point on the object ball with no throw effect.
