    Nice shots. One thing to remember for situation #3. When you use Back Hand English, you should not use a long bridge length. Every cue is different, but there is a pivot point where if you put your cue at this pivot point on your bridge hand and apply Back Hand English, the cue ball will just spin in place after hitting the object ball in this situation (a full ball hit). This is an incredibly helpful tip to know if you want to use Back Hand English without having to worry about where to adjust your aim. If you know your pivot point, just use the BHE and strike the cue ball without any adjustments for English and it will work.
    For situation #3, use a bridge length of 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) and this shot will work well. If you use a very long bridge, it doesn't work so well, or it may not work at all.

    • @johnholmstrom4212
      @johnholmstrom4212 8 місяців тому +1

      The bridge length depends on the cue's deflection, so it's impossible to say which bridge length will work for each person, so 6-8 inches may not work. But besides that, I agree with everything you said.

    • @MrCueBall
      @MrCueBall  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for your comment and opinion! Very important is what type of cue we are using. I mean "deflection". But the other very important thing is what difficulty of pockets we have. If pockets are tighter then we can't cheat it that much like in my example because my table has bit wider pockets.

    • @trailerwookie
      @trailerwookie 8 місяців тому

      @@johnholmstrom4212 That's exactly why I said "every cue is different."

    • @johnholmstrom4212
      @johnholmstrom4212 8 місяців тому

      @@trailerwookie You said every cue is different, but then said "use a bridge length of 6 to 8 inches", which contradicts your earlier statement, hence my comment. It's nothing to be defensive about, just a correction.

    For example 8, when you have a steep angle to kick like that, using high-center (high and a touch of left if the 9 is blocking too much) English can help keep the ball in that general area. Even if you hit it too thin, it won't be as bad as in the video.

    • @MrCueBall
      @MrCueBall  8 місяців тому

      I am not sure If I understood correctly. You mentioned that situation where I played re-safe? I said In the video that we need to find correct point on the rail and apply enough spin to hit object ball as full as possible. This is impossible to explain what type and how much this spin we need to use because in each conditions it work different. I just wanted to show defensive and offensive way to escape this situation.

  • @micha-42
    @micha-42 8 місяців тому +1

    Nice video man! I believe the last shot is more *cut* induced throw than anything else. Try it without the spin, with a half-ball hit on the 4!

    • @MrCueBall
      @MrCueBall  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for your comment. Yes you are right, but in this situation with the cue ball in that position I tried many times using different type of shots and only with maximum amount of English I was able to make this ball. CIT didnt push this combination that much. I think that in different conditions on the table it may look bit different🙏

    • @rothcarpentry9519
      @rothcarpentry9519 8 місяців тому +1

      Your SIT on that shot is backwards. Trying to get the 9 ball to cheat left, you put right hand english on the cue. That transfers left hand to the next ball and will actually help the 9 ball travel further to the right. Try the same shot with opposite spin youlll be able to move it much further when you add together as half ball hit for CIT as well as the proper spin for SIT.@@MrCueBall Thge only reason you made that shot is because your CIT was enough to overcome the opposite SIT you applied.

    The second shot is interesting. It's come up several times in the past few weeks for me. I actually chose the most offensive option. I shot the cue ball toward the opposite short rail and knocked the nine ball in the side pocket on the rebound.
    It's not a high percentage shot, but I am three for three on a Gold Crown 4. Just got to use the diamonds, aim very straight on the cue ball and hit on the softer side. On one shot, I even had to use a touch of English going toward the opposite short rail because a ball was partly blocking me.
    I tried to duplicate this shot on my 7-foot Olhausen. Took me 8 attempts to pocket the ball. But I was able to hit the ball in about 30%-40% of the time after some practice.

    1:40 … or you could calculate a kick shot on the bottom rail to hit the object ball from the other side, sending it to the pocket and avoiding the risk of scratching.

    I disagree with sit#2, 1 kick from the short rail to pocket the ball in the side. 2 bank it to the corrner...

    Wasn't cut induced throw more relevant in the last position??

    • @MrCueBall
      @MrCueBall  6 місяців тому

      There was impact of both factors but as you could see i used very low speed and applied a lot of english. To make this episode I played it many times with different spins. When I played it with only center ball then object ball didn't go in same way like with english. I think that in different conditions balls react bit different.
