🇱🇺 Luxembourg (Oct-2001)

My wonderful South African wifey took me on a surprise trip to Luxembourg for my birthday ... my main reason for wanting to go was to secure some Luxembourg Francs (LUF) before the Euro wiped away centuries of history.
Because of their currency union with Belgium, I only ever saw Belgian Francs (BEF) in circulation ... I actually had to go into a bank's currency exchange desk to swap 100 Belgian Francs for Luxembourg Francs.
Otherwise ... there were lots of bridges.
