I absolutely adore this movie - it's just so telling when Willy has that moment in the locker room where he says beating up a bunch of kids means he's turned a corner. Anyone else, they'd be wrong - but for Willy, it really was a turning point for him.
I remember actually going and seeing this in theaters on Christmas Day(night). So hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing at the interactions between the kid and ol' Billy Bob. RIP John Ritter and Bernie Mac.
There's a hilarious B movie called Santa's Slay that was known as Very Bad Santa in the French release. He makes Billy Bob Thornton's Santa look like a saint.
20:00 that's what moms used to tell their children when they were single parents when they would ask about their father if they were dead or something they would say he's off climbing mountains
I went to see this on a date when I was 17. I was not really paying attention to the movie, but I caught most of it. I'd love to say that was because I was too busy playing it cool with my date... but it was because I was a nervous, anxious wreck haha. The date turned into a very short relationship but at that age, it meant a lot. So when the relationship ended, I was crushed. That being said, I couldn't bring myself to watch it after it was released on TV and DVD, because I saw it as a reminder of a sore subject. I hadn't really given the movie much thought in the intervening years until I saw your reaction pop up. I have to say, It was a better movie than I remember - for reasons stated above, sure - but also perhaps because, as a 17-year-old, nothing struck me as relatable. Now, at 36 years old... you can see how easy it is to become a strung-out, waste of space that doesn't appreciate the small things. The important things. Not that that that is what I became. I'm just saying that, as an adult, you gain a better perspective. Even when I started watching this, that old angsty kid came back, and I felt nervous. Like, for a moment, I'd gone back in time. When it was over, I was even moved by how sad the ending was and felt the need to write an essay-long comment about... my experience... from 19 years... ago. Urm... anywho. This was great lol
Man do I miss John Ritter. He was so goddamn good in this movie. Also, I say "Well they can't all be winners, can they" and always forget it's from this movie.
🔔 BW: 21:50 Hazarding a guess, "the talking walnut" in this movie is a crazy, oblique testicular sack reference created by (and showing) that character's highly effed-up mind.
Besides Home Alone this is my go to movie every Christmas, check out Badder Santa it's the same movie just more comedy & more curses lol. Bad Santa 2 isnt bad either
You can't open a safe by cutting the hinges off. The top hinge is welded to the door, and the bottom hinge is welded to the body. There's a pin that fills in between where they have machine holes that holds each hinge on, and then these bolts go behind the mainframe. So if the hinges are cut off, you can't get the door open. Once upon a time, long long ago, I was a bank robber. A federally sponsored, forced vacation ended my career. It wasn't too bad considering it could've been WAY worse. And I got to scratch that off my bucket list.
Seen this movie when it came out in the theaters. I have a dark sense of humor so I thought it was hilarious. Billy Bob Thorton was the perfect bad Santa. And I thought the scenes with both Bernie Mac and John Ritter were funny as hell. The uncomfy nature of the scenes were palatable. And for such a dark dark comedy, it actually had some Christmas spirit and heart. Which is very hard to do. My favorite Christmas movie. Good reaction.
at 12 minutes I notice a sexy front bumper of a Chevy Impala - it's a 69 as oppose to a 67, but it's still got that gorgeous bumper even if it is a rust bucket!
I love this movie, it's a classic, and very sweet and redemptive in it's own way. It's somewhat ironic that movies seem to get "cred" for ending generally happy movies in a dark, depressing way, but dark movies that end in a nice way can be viewed as selling out etc. Personally I much prefer the latter, where you usually get humour along with the general grittiness, but afterwards feel good rather than depressed. Perhaps it's due to modern movies, but the expectation from modern audiences seems to be of everything in a movie being logical / not weird. My interpretation(but of course there are no "correct" answers) was that: - the angry guy is hyper-repressed(further implied by bending santa over..), and taking it out on him, though it just being a random angry/delusional guy is also fine. Ritters character is obviously also repressed, being extraordinarily uncomfortable with anything sexual. - "the talking walnut" as a religious story from his out-of-it grandmother. - I think the peeing on the dishes comment *is* just implying it's what the kid did, aka he's weird. Albeit little kids can be super weird anyway. - some of it is just weird because it's funnier
1:44 there unfortunately 3 types. Also, DNA evidence only matters if you’re already in the system of that state (in those times) or if you’re a suspect. If you flee and used a fake identity you’re space.
Maybe like him is the wrong word sypathesize and understand his plight is I think what they were going. I can understand why some give up sometimes. Also why some people fight on. If we lived in a even remotely fair world I'd judge him a bit more but since it's bent from top to bottom well.....very limited choices you can make in life.
Couldnt help but notice all the sniffin and nose rubbing, right after the movie and you started your review. Always wondered what kind of person goes to watch a movie and brings a pen and paper. Question answered.
Rick, be careful with that Premiere Protein. It's delicious and full of protein, but it's all SOY protein. Your body processes and reacts similar to soy in the same way it does estrogen. I drank that stuff for a while just as a meal supplement and definitely found myself being more moody and growing some bitch tits after a few months.
Yes! I can't wait to watch later!🎉🎉🎉 Have y'all watched the Blazing Saddles of holiday movies? The Hebrew Hammer needs to go on your list if you haven't!!!!!
Looked this first 15 minutes, and this one of the worst montage possible. You literally cut out all the funny, interesting moments, and leave only "trash time".
Yeah. Their killing of Bernie Mac’s character is one of the more brutal moments. Maybe because it’s so ruthless and somewhat unexpected. And. Well. Brutal 😬
20:00 that's what moms used to tell their children when they were single parents when they would ask about their father if they were dead or something they would say he's off climbing mountains

Billy Bob Thornton has so much damn charisma. Legitimately a super underrated actor.
So true. He can play the most unlikeable characters but never lose the charisma. His roles in this and Fargo are prime examples.
The "I am not gay" scene gets me every time, most random scene I've ever seen in a movie 😅
"Little boy! Do not interfere! I am doing this for all of us!"
It's amazing how this movie can be laden with so much black comedy and yet still be a legitimate Christmas story with a point.
A heartwarming holiday classic
I absolutely adore this movie - it's just so telling when Willy has that moment in the locker room where he says beating up a bunch of kids means he's turned a corner. Anyone else, they'd be wrong - but for Willy, it really was a turning point for him.
Well, it was for a purpose.
Love this movie! “I’m on my F**g lunch break!!”
If you have ever been a waiter, you feel that
My all-time favourite Christmas movie.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH
"Are you fucking with me?!!!"
I remember actually going and seeing this in theaters on Christmas Day(night). So hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing at the interactions between the kid and ol' Billy Bob. RIP John Ritter and Bernie Mac.
Like Eight Crazy Nights, on the surface this movie is super crass but really has a huge heart
Edited for typo correction
I guess that was autocorrect and you meant crass.
That boxing scene kills me every time 🤣
this is possibly my favorite movie of all time... ive watched every reaction video to it on the internet... love this
This is definitely a christmas classic. Billy Bob Thorton is a really good actor, he's awesome in Fargo also
he’s also awesome in Faster with Dwayne Johnson
A classic that everybody should watch ❤
This is a good one! Bad Santa is one of those movies that really surprised me. Instant classic!

Such a classic you guys should watch the second one ❤
It's a movie you're just supposed to laugh at and have a good time with not overanalyze every second and be offended by drinking and smoking
Octavia Spencer was in "Ma" along with "The Help" where she played a maid who gets revenge on her employer by making a 💩 pie
Rest in Peace Bernie Mac and John Ritter.

Definitely a classic! The sequel? Not so much!!
When it comes to Christmas films, my all time favorite is "Tokyo Godfathers"!
Man do I miss John Ritter. He was so goddamn good in this movie. Also, I say "Well they can't all be winners, can they" and always forget it's from this movie.
surprised neither of them recognized the guy from wildest police videos as the cop on the horn at the end.
He was also a sheriff prior to that.
6:58 LOVE that shot.

My dad loved this movie. It bums me out a little now to see both John Ritter and Bernie Mac.
This move was hilarious. My first time watching recently as well. Great reaction!
Besides Home Alone this is my go to movie every Christmas, check out Badder Santa it's the same movie just more comedy & more curses lol. Bad Santa 2 isnt bad either
One of my favorites. A classic tale and great role model to the children
Chaos is the secret ingredient of the best comedies.

I love this movie soo much! I love Christmas and messed up comedy, and this movie is the perfect amalgamation of that.😅
To this day, because of this movie, I still ponder what the Normal amount of lettuce is, LoL
“Going to the bathroom on mum’s dishes” is not a metaphor. The kid peed (or shat) on his mum’s dishes and got beaten by his dad for it 😂🤣
fun fact, they originally wanted bill murray for billy bobs role but he couldn't do it cause he already committed to a different movie.
Dude you guys should totally react to the Office
The Perfect Christmas Movie
Glad you enjoyed my movie fellas and Happy Holidays.
Your name is Thurman Merman?
RIP Bernie Mac and John Ritter and Cloris:Leachman
Hey Willie's girl is the mom from Mighty Ducks & the gay guy is Sameer from Office Space
The guy who plays Roger Merman, the dad in prison, is Judge Munsinger, the judge in Huell's case in Better Call Saul. lol
Watch fight club i want see your reaction of the movie 😅
Good movie.
The more woke this country becomes, the more I love this movie!

Hitchcock would suggest don't use actors that look the same. It just leads to confusion.
I watched a different version of this
"WHY IS BAD SANTA ALWAYS WEARING A SANTA OUTFIT?" Does someone not understand the title of the film or ....?
