    I thought it was universally known to never rip pages out of a book, or destroy a book. 😮

    That router trick with a book could lead to a housefire if that router over heats …. and then you would be liable. I’m not sure that’s a great idea. Just a thought

    • @slash8487

      I had that very same thought about putting that router inside of something.

    • @CarolBell78
      @CarolBell78 19 днів тому +6

      I'm happy others also see the problem with putting the router inside a cut up book. That's gonna be a house fire or will burn up the router for sure.

      Also wood blocks wifi signals which is why you never put in a wood bookcase, or cabinet

    That router in the book is not going to last very long because it’s going to overheat in that book! Don’t do this !

    • @cyndib511
      @cyndib511 19 днів тому +1

      It could be done if room was left all around for airflow, but that setup at the very least is going to quickly destroy the router. A small wire rack like you cool cookies on to sit the router on, some dowels glued at the corners to leave space above the router, and this would totally work.

  • @darknitelmm6245
    @darknitelmm6245 20 днів тому +21

    Some of the hacks hiding the routers are good ideas but however those devices heat up and need ventilation to keep them cool and last longer… especially the book one that could possibly be a fire hazard ⚠️

    The desk cover would look better cut to the desk size instead of extending to the wall.

    The cutting board screen is a wonderful idea. I have been playing around with the idea of making an appliance garage in the corner to hike my mixer, but this idea will be easier to do and be able to move anytime I need my mixer or to clean the countertop.

  • @pnsjax

    You could drill a hole through board and plastic bin, then attach knob to front with mounting screw through both board and bin for secure hold for knob rather than superglue. Nice idea.

    Great ideas. I make woiden boxes. And put pictures or sayings on them. I can totaly use these ideas.The desk idea is cute. I use a couple desks for my sewing. I would have left the books lettering the way it is. I love old books. If i could id have a house full of them. I loved the tv box. Im so doing that. I make many cradts and art work for sale. Love the hemp oil tip for the cuting board project. I love ved the cuting board trick, id pit a cute saying or recipe on it. Ones you use alot. I have a tiny kitchen and not enough space. I hate even seeing the kettle on the countertop. Can't wait to go shopping this week. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me

    1. Take a book, 2. cut out pages, 3. distress the cover, 4. paint spine, 5. stack more books on top, 6. then, hide with a plant.
    Or... hear me out: you could just... *hide with a plant*

      Good question :) !
      Maybe since she had different craft supplies in each bin, she wanted to label them for her children to make it easy for them to find the right supplies.
      ?
      That's my guess 🙂

      Agreed -- I leave certain things out on top of my kitchen counters, too. I like to have the things that I use the most at hand. My counters don't look cluttered; they are very organized and my kitchen looks like a home that is lived in and enjoyed. I think that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and to me the heart is full. It has personality and charm, and it looks like the place in a home where people always gather, it brings people together, it brings enjoyment, fellowship, connection .. a place that is lived in, not bare or empty.

    Router cover made with a book is just a bad idea. Build or buy a small thin crate, place router inside and place a decorative item on top of the crate. Please do not put a live plant that you have to water on top of the router.

  • @ogcatlady

    These DIY craft ideas are either DUMB (Destroy a book to cover a router??? 😮 Blasphemy!) POINTLESS (Cover your kitchen appliances? 🤔 Why?!) or CONFUSING (Detail & direction are missing when it comes to making the board game boxes 🧐)
    I suspect the comments praising this video are FAKE 🤡🤡🤡
