What a kind gift you and Ana & Philipp have orchestrated for Benoit. It will not only insure his atelier's tools are replaced with safer versions, but relieve financial pressures while he recovers from the accident. Thank you.
As a carpenter who has had a few scary incidents with outdated equipment, I think it is amazing what you are doing for Benoit! Wishing him a speedy recovery!
Loved your interview with dear Benoit explaining his painful accident. Hopefully, the feeling in his fingers will be restored. Benoit is such an endearing individual. Speedy recovery Benoit!🥰🇨🇦
Benoit must be overwhelmed by the love and support he is receiving from all over the world. I’m sure he had no idea how many fans he has. I hope he feels the love that we are all sending his way. Daphne you are right, he must take his time and heal properly so he will be able to do the work he loves again. Thank you both for being part of this amazing fundraiser for our favorite French carpenter Benoit Compagnon!
It is so wonderful that the GFM account has raised above & beyond the amount they were aiming for! Now a Master Carpenter can take much needed time to recuperate and heal thoroughly with no worries.
It was good to see dear Benoit in good spirits. We are all hoping that he heals quickly. ❤ Also, loved Daphne’s reaction to the thought of burning the curtains. 😂
Hi Daphne and Ian, I feel so bad for Benoit, the pain he is going through right now. When you brought him aboard to help with your renovations myself and probably all of your fans had to tell you how happy we were, that you did. The act of kindness, that you and Anna, Philipp have put together to help him, is truly amazing, and through that act of kindness, we all are able to help you support Benoit. Thank you so much, Love from N.Y.
OM Goodness your reaction when he said ‘Burn them’. Oh that had me laughing so hard. Thank you for the update with Benoit. I am so happy to see he is doing well. His cheerful attitude is a blessing.
I'm thankful you folks have given us the opportunity to assist Benoit. He is a master of his craft. But, we all know how difficult it is to be self employed in these days. Together you've made it possible for all of us to keep him going. Thx so much 😊
Benoit is my favorite talent on “Chateau Tube “ I was distressed to see how badly injured he was so I am grateful that you guys started a go fun me to help this wonderful chap ❤❤❤ get better soon Benoit we miss you .
Oh my goodness, I’ll be praying for a speedy and complete recovery for Benoit!!! I wish I could give to Benoit’s funds, but I have medical issues myself and am on disability. But I’ll be praying that that the people who can help go above and beyond and can get Benoit the best tools that he needs. Please pass along my love, hugs and prayers to Benoit. 💗🤗🙏 Bless you all for using your channels to help him out!! Love and hugs to you all from Mary in Southern California 💗🤗
As a wood worker myself, Benoit has already paid the highest price. The scary part is when a wood worker stops being concerned with their tools. That's when it happens
I find it fascinating to watch you all transform your lovely chateaus with your artistry and preserve the history of Europe by investing in the restoration of these buildings. And Benoit is a huge asset to the beauty of the restorations. Your beautiful kitchen, Anna and Phillip, is stunning, and I know that Benoit deserves many thanks for his skilled craftsmanship. And in keeping the Beau Chateau current, he now has a monumental task ahead. May he now go shopping and enjoy his new safe tools. He deserves them, to assist him in preserving these beloved buildings. My grandfather used to dabble and he had saws as well so I know the need for safe tools. May he have fun shopping while recouperating.
Thank you all for arranging, and those who have contributed, in support of dear Benoit. He is an absolute legend, much loved by many and so deserving of support ❤️
I hope Benoit is feeling love from his many fans. Let's hope he gets the safety he deserves and the machines work well for him. Heal well, Benoit. The curtains brighten the space. ❤
Making my small contribution to fund Benoit's new work equipment made me feel a part of something really good that's happening on Earth now. People are starting to take care of each other in amazingly unexpected ways!!! Thank you to Daphne and Ian, Ana and Philipp for jumping in to help this very special (and popular!) guy❤
Currently 10 times more than hoped for (59.368 €), so so so generous community. He will get several new très très très safe tools. All the best and thank you for supporting him too.
It is amazing that people from all over the world are joining together and helpning Benoit, who we all love and care about. Together we can do anything. Thank you so much for the initiative 👍
So happy to see the outpouring for Benoit! Lots of people care and we all gave a little bit to help a great cause. Hope he heals quickly and is able to get back to his craft soon, all with new and safe tools.
Hang in there Benoit. Last year I tripped and fell into a pair of freshly sharpened garden sheers that closed on my fingers on impact. My fingers had to be stitched and I couldn’t feel them for a few months. It’s been exactly a year and I can feel all fingers again. Take some time off, do physical therapy and let all your friends and the subscribers help you and carry you through your healing. You have given us so much joy. Now it’s time for you to receive. Many blessings and prayers for a fast and full recovery.
I'm so pleased to see how the total has grown since Sunday. It's marvelous that you teamed up with Anna and Phillip to help Benoît. (And thanks for the censored images...my imaginings were traumatic enough!)
Also, feeling like dope because I spelled Philipp's name incorrectly. Normally, I'd blame my "fat fingers," but for the last few days, I've been grateful to have working digits. Oh, the little things-which are actually important things-we take for granted.
It's a relief to see Benoit's smiling face, and hear good news! I was very happy to be able to help, and hopefully all the funds raised will ensure every piece of his equipment that needed to be updated will be and made safe. XOXO
Hi guys, we love your chateau and are so happy Benoit is receiving much needed support-what a great community! Daphne are you able to show us pics of some of movie sets, it must be so interesting?🇨🇦
Can you please put the links to the shows, movies, shoots, etc...filmed at your Chateau? I would LOVE to see it through various artists eyes. 😊 Lovely job on the cobblestone! Prayers for Benoit. 🙏
the look on daphne's face when ian suggested burning the pink curtains....priceless wow on the cobblestones. good start ian i'm loving watching you remodel the bath best wishes to benoit. sadly i can't help due to being on disability and dealing with medical expenses from a knee surgery but it's wonderful you four are working to help him
Great job on the GFM for Benoit. Your interview with him was reassuring. Thank you for helping to make this happen in such a spectacular fashion. Love the progress at your chateau.
I donated yesterday after watching Anna & Phillips's video. That is so kind and thoughtful of the 4 of you coming together to set this up, and of all the viewers who contributed with money and /or well wishes. I'm sure he feels all the love. Sending love to everyone ❤
Dear Daphne and Ian, I donated on Sunday on Anna and Philipp’s link. I really hope Benoit gets most of his feeling back in his fingers. He’s such a lovely man so I wish him well. I think it’s wonderful how the four of you are doing this for him. Ian, I saw a man cleaning a huge brick walkway with years of dirt and growth covering it, just like yours. He used the same tools as you but also used a power washer which surprisingly tore up much of the growth easily. Yes it created mud but he shoveled that away and it seemed to go quickly. Just a thought. Love your videos. xx
Looking at the the GoFundMe, Benoit will be unwraping his gifts soon! :) Well done Daphne and Ian, well done Anna and Philipp (who measured the goal of the GoFundMe incorrectly), well done all donators :)
LOVE the new curtains! Lovely and elegant. And love that you both along with Anna and Philipp have started the go fund me. In the US, I know there are saws that will instantly stop the blade the microsecond it detects tissue (we saw it demonstrated with a hot dog on This Old House on PBS). At any rate a new, SAFE saw is wonderful. On another note, I'm so enjoying your channel. The chemistry you two have is so charming and sweet and the production quality is insanely beautiful.
Ok... It's time for you guys to make a complete playlist that starts with your first video and follows your path from past to present. This way when you post each video, you choose to add it into your playlist. This will make it easy for people who find your channel to simply click on the first video that they haven't seen and let them all play continuously in order to the end. Playlists are a big help for you also because when you post a video to another web page, when you choose it from your own playlist, it automatically selects all of your videos for people to see first. It's really easy. You have a great channel 🥰👍🥰 Reed
Friends take care of each other, I'm so touched that you all will look out for Benoit. I'm sure my very small donation is just a drop in the bucket, but sent with caring❤
Incredible, so far we have all managed to collect almost 64.000 EUR for Benoît. Thank you as well as Anna and Philipp for initiating the Go fund me project. It is so heart warming to see what communities like yours can achieve. You can be proud of yourselves!
The curtains are the perfect colour. I hope your friend Benoit heals quickly. Such a thoughtful gift you guys are putting together with the funding. Best wishes to you all.
I'm watching this 6 months after the accident. I also follow Anna and Philipe and don't know how I missed this. I hope he is presently doing better . I donated a little bit just now. I wish I had more to give but am so 'stretched thin'. I'm just loving your vlog. Hubby and I are in the initial stages of getting ready to move to rural France for our retirement in two years. I will be thrilled to visit these wonderful places. You both, along with Benoit and others, are doing such beautiful work on the Beau Chatau. Sending you the best wishes from Texas, USA.
So happy that the donations will cover the costs of his new equipment. What a wonderful gesture and I hope Benoit knows how much he is loved. Love Anna and Phillip as well as your channel. Looking forward to the next vlog 😍😘
Curtains are beautiful! Love the color! Don’t forget to change out those pink little light shades on chandelier, does not go! 😊 wishing speedy recovery for sweet Benoit! I watch Ana and Philip and saw his injury! 😢❤
The new curtains are a gorgeous color! I have just been catching up on the Marie Antoinette series, and had no idea your chateau was used as sets! That's so cool!
Benoit just got distracted thinking about which Château he had more loyalty to......😂 In all seriousness though, how wonderful of your two channels raising funds for him to have a safe workshop. It is well deserved. Great seeing more progress, explores are one of my favorite things to see in these old building complexes. ❤ I am trying to decide if uncovering brick or laying it is faster though......maybe a street sweeper rental is in order? 😬
Courage Benoit ! Prenez soin de vous. Thanks Daphné and Ian to give us some reassuring news. The work you are doing in this chateau is phenomenal. Bravo !
With the donations for Benoit, he will now be able to buy the best safe equipment, and not need to worry about income while he takes time to recover! That's the best gift you could give in support of a good friend!
I was more than willing to donate as Benoit has brought much join with his banter with Phillip. I buy many things second hand…clothes cars furn…but I DID NOT want that wonderful man with his talent and helping to restore these breathtaking homes using a preowned power tool! Ha. Hoping he can purchase what he needs to be safe and we can watch his mad skills helping all to restore these grand homes for yrs to come. Much appreciation to all for saving and preserving these lovely buildings. Xo
Late to this weeks party and went to chip in at the gofundme to discover it already fully funded. Benoit is one lucky guy to have amazing folks like you all that care so much. Heal well and fast Benoit, enjoy your brand new table saw!
Well done to you all! Benoit is an artist! And to keep an artist going takes many friends of his art❤️. Get well soon Benoit. And look forward to your return and seeing the continuation of your skills. Albeit on some awesome new equipment that gives you the ability to refine your art even further🙏🏻
Wishing Benoit speeding recovery.I had inner elbow and nerve done ... 6 mths and I still have pins and needles and pain ... i feel it Benoit 😢 but urs is worse .. sit back relax and heal , the subscribers love you and we have Ur back as great friends should do ❤
All the best of recovery to Benoît. He has the right attitude to overcome this. Very happy so many of us can help out a good craftsman in need. I really enjoy your channel (French expat in Australia) and appreciate the efforts from you, Benoît and other chateau owners to look after the 'patrimoine'.
That's so cool! I was watching the Marie Antoinette miniseries and thought I recognized your chateau from these videos but wasn't 100% sure I was right. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes look at what you're doing to refurbish it. Everything looks great! And of course, best wishes for Benoit as he recovers.
I think that the cobble stones would stay cleaner if the old dirt was cleaned out and then fresh morter put in. A ton of work and I don't envy you. Love your Chateau and you two are a very sweet couple.😊
So take drapes and take a soft ribbon length like satin and fold pleates tie off midway down and on the lower section fold evenly and tie off with ribbon but not too tight and the pleates will set them selves like you steamed them and you find you won't needed to reset the folds (pleates) as often ! So I mean above and below were the swag tie back is ! Just a thought for you !
Best wishes for Benoit's continued steady recovery. Very happy to join in supporting this tremendous community support for Benoit's recuperation and safer workshop.
I love the new curtains!! They are so elegant and beautiful. You both work so hard but also look like you are having fun at the same time l. The cobble stones look transformed! I’m so glad everyone has been able to help Benoit. Bring self employed, this will hopefully help him until he gets back to using his hand again as well as safer equipment.
Wow Benoit is so lucky it wasn’t worse. Thank god he’s ok. My dad was a cook and was cleaning the top of the stove. While he was up there, a friend/coworker was passing by and accidentally tripped him. So my father wouldn’t hit his head on the pizza oven, he grabbed onto the side of stove top and sliced his four fingers. He drove himself to the emergency. My mother and I (I was like 10ish) back then couldn’t find him. This is before cell phones. He finally got home 9hrs later. It was a crazy experience. He was never able to get the pinky flat but was able to use his fingers and hand again after therapy. I’m so happy he’ll be getting a new table saw now. There’s nothing more important then safety 100%
Just checked to see news about Benoit from Anna and Phillip's channel and ended up subscribing! Great channel! Thank you for supporting him, we all love Benoit and wish him a speedy recovery ❤
We have a good friend who lost some fingers at work. The doctors were able to reattach them using leaches to stimulate blood flow. The surgeries were successful at $100,000.00 per finger 20 years ago. ❤️🙏
Benoit, I am praying for a full, fast recovery for you. My brother cut the top of his thumb off many years ago. I am gladnyour getting safer saw. I absolutely love the new curtains. They are perfect and look so much better in the room. Yes, your right to have the backing s similar color. Best wishes to you all

So delighted you helped us help Benoît. Ty! All that wood, stored in the attic is valuable. You may need to gift it to Benoît and his new helper.
Up to 63,000 euro. That shows how much love there is for Benoit. How wonderful.

The last time I looked your GFM account for Benoit was at nearly €62K. What you are doing is wonderful. I was pleased to lend my support.
I love to watch you two interact with each other😊.
At a time when my faith in humanity is tested, something like this happens that gives me hope. 💞

Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes look at what you're doing to refurbish it. Everything looks great! And of course, best wishes for Benoit as he recovers.
Thanks for mentioning the Marie Ant. Series....I didn't know it was on so now I do thanks to your comment!
I donated the other day on Anna and Phillips channel. Get well Benoit.
I hope from the bottom of my heart that Benoit will feel his finger again!! Get well soon.
The look when you said burn the pink curtains...rolling with laughter...omg. So glad you shared that.
Well done for the Gofund me for Benoit fantastic amount rhat has been raised x
I think that the cobble stones would stay cleaner if the old dirt was cleaned out and then fresh morter put in. A ton of work and I don't envy you. Love your Chateau and you two are a very sweet couple.😊
Love the curtain colour!
There is just something so endearing about Benoit. I don’t know what it is, but it is charming.
Spectacular response.😊
Oh boy, did I laugh at the expression you made Daphne when Ian suggested you burn the pink curtains😂😂😂
Thank you for your kindness toward Benoit. Speedy recovery wishes from California.
I look forward to seeing him back to work with better equipment thanks to your kindness in setting up the GFM with Anna & Philipp! ❤
Donation done for Benoit's new equipment. 🙂
Benoit, I am praying for a full, fast recovery for you. My brother cut the top of his thumb off many years ago. I am gladnyour getting safer saw.
I absolutely love the new curtains. They are perfect and look so much better in the room. Yes, your right to have the backing s similar color.
Best wishes to you all
It was so satisfying seeing you uncover the cobbles, well done.
