Thank you for doing this video. I have a personal connection to the Jaguar god. When I gave birth to my daughter 10 years ago, the pain was to much for me. I started to hallucinate, a black jaguar stepped into my body and took over my pain. People that we're in the room told me that I was growling like an animal. It took many years for me to research what had happened. I believe Ixchel helped me and my daughter.
Yea I understand it's like the frequency in which we understand and resonate with mostly but it's still because we still have instincts and come from a source that's different as well as have bigger capacity for brains
I think one version of the Jaguar God is called Ek Balam. I visited Palenque once and saw the stone Jaguar with green eyes down inside one of the temples there. I brought home a sort of 'folk version' of a carved, wooden 'Ek Balam' that I bought at a gas station... real unique folk art kinda thing. This was years ago and I still lived with my parents. However, my mom burned-up Ek Balam - took him out in the backyard and set him on fire - 'cause she claimed he brought 'evil spirits' to the house! LOL!
I had a vivid dream about 2 black jaguars i had as pets and kept in a kennel out back. I was trying to leash them up to take them for a walk but they just escaped. I woke up, terrified scared for my family until i came to my senses. I wonder what that dream meant.
I looked this up because i had a dream last night telling me not to go to the island to watch the eclipse, but to the rock of the woods, was a puma and jaguar gods, told me to till the earth there and plant seeds. Im amazed to learn now its a moon god of all things. I will do as she says for now
@@mexicounexplained yes, went to the location today. Took courdinants of the rock homeless people and collage kids doodd rituals at, turns out if you draw a line from it to my house, it goes straight threw the obelisk in the center of Buffalo, as will the path of the eclips, rock even faces my house. May build a small structure on it if I have time, already bought the cement.
Watching this video again and still seeing more, like how the Godess that came to me is the God of rainbows, this rock sits on a path niagera falls, the rainbow city. It only gets more legit
Ehhh… The comparison with Catholic Saints vs Greek Gods isn't really accurate. The Greek Gods look to be neatly categorized with definite domains that didn't change between groups, but that's wrong, and it only looks like that because we draw from the limited literature of a few city-states from a particular time period in which the Hellenic world was starting to be more unified. But looking at Epithets we see things get messy. For example, the Spartans worshiped Aphrodite as a war goddess. Some cities saw Hera as a protector of men. There were hundreds of local gods too.
Lovely video. Only that Saints are not metaphorical representations of experiences of natural order, life and human experience - that even with overlap and lack of nuanced definition - Mayan deities are there to emblem.

Thanks for the thoughtful comments.
There’s also the change in pantheon order as Poseidon and Persephone were higher in the pantheon and more chthonic
Hey Robert, where did you get that haunting intro song? Where can I find it? Its awesome
Thanks! I had it specially made for the show. The composer called it, "Unexplained Magic."
