I rekken this was a great top 10 things to know when travelling to Sydney. I grew up there and saw the Opera House being built from the ground up. Great place and bazillions of things to see and do with 160-200 kilometre range. Thanks for taking the time and posting - well done
Nick and Helmi, thank you for your lovely invitation to visit Sydney, Australia. I will visit Sydney, Australia, when I will become a millionaire. Nick and Helmi, we are brilliant, noble and strong together.
You're welcome! Visiting Sydney, Australia as a millionaire sounds like a fantastic goal to aspire to. I hope you achieve it and have an amazing time exploring all that Sydney has to offer.
I'd definitely recommend at least 3 days in the Blue Mountains (and opal will get you there in around 2hrs) but you need to be fit to see the real amazing bits like National Pass; and you can do the mountains a lot more cheaply than the city
Update: You can use your Amex, Visa or Mastercard to pay for travel on trains, ferries, and buses in Sydney now. You no longer need to buy an Opal card.
@Nick and Helmi and others: Apologies!! but i have realized lately that you can use any card or opal..it costs the same..... Please ignore my first comment
@@rajneesh0095 Only thing to watch is if you have more than one credit card and use different ones for travel over a period. Some people tap their wallet or card holder with multiple cards, not realising that the reader might detect a different card on different trips. Thank you for another great video. I have been to Sydney on three different trips. My wide has made two trips. We are planning to come again. This is another of your great videos. We love Sydney. We found this video to be excellent. Thanks !!!
Hiiiiiii Nick and Helmi... I love you guys together in a video SO much haha! So. Much. Fun. Oh, and awesomely useful tips as well. $29 to go up the Tower? Dayuuuuum. That's steep. Not even the Skytree in Tokyo costs that much. I second Klook and Groupon.. my 2 faves!

Awesome tips guys! Lots of good information. Sydney it’s not very cheap but definitely worth to check out. Groupon it’s very good. One of our favourite apps

Very comprehensive guys and cracking vlog for anyone coming to Sydney. Can't quite believe the price of a 15 min Uber ride though!!!!!! Like the sound of our coffee culture - yum. Was that a cameo from Yen?! We would love to get to Sydney one day when our budget allows 😎😍
Morning guys :p haha ya depending on surcharges we have seen uber costing the same as taxi around 50-60 dollar, but sometime can cost 30 haha 😂, yes that was yen 😁 hahha cameo 😂
Bebe Ramallosa hope you enjoy glebe! They have lots of good food there, some vegan cafes, an indonesian restaurant as well called salt and palm and you can also head to newtown - which is just 5 minute away for some really good bars and local fusion food . Another option is chinatown which is a walkable distance from glebe 🤗😀🙏

Yes, snakes and spiders in summer, but as a tourist these will only cause you problems if you go out of the city area. Hey Nick and Helmi!!! These are all great tips about coming to Sydney!! Interesting that you can't use your cell phone there and have to buy a sim card there!! Butters LOVED the transportation system in Sydney. That's great to hear you have good coffee there, so many people LOVE their coffee!!! Brunch is always great.. especially on the weekends!! Sucks that the shops close at 5 pm.. That's so early! Butters LOVES Tim Tams, and Vegemite!! We don't have plastic bags here in LA anymore either.. We love it!! Great tips on the apps to download as well!!! These are so useful.. Great video and much love to you both!! Have a great day!
hey butters & bears, glad you enjoy this video :D oh gosh don't start with tim tams, helmi can finish the whole pack just by herself over a movie hahaha. actually coffee with tim tams are really good combo :D
I'm still waiting for Uber to come to BC! Wow, the shops closes fairly early. 5pm? That's when people are just getting off work. Guess Thursdays are also super busy for the shops.
Yo, guys! Nice list. Got a little more to add 😄 Are they still doing $2.50 for all-day public transport on Sundays? If so, definitely recommended. You can make it all the way to the Blue Mountains with it! For city coffee, Mecca Coffee on King Street is also amazing. The food court underneath Woolworth's on George Street has great chicken rice at the Malaysian shop. And there are lots of good, cheaper food options in Chinatown.
Shoulda mentioned Taronga zoo - yes it's expensive but worth it for the views (make sure you go on a sunny day to take advantage of the amazing harbor views from the cable car). And I strongly suggest catching the ferry there. Sydney harbour is beautiful so plan to spend time on it or near it. I love going over to Manly for the day - lovely ferry ride then wander out to the Corso and Fairy Bower I'd steer clear of Watson's bay - has become an overcrowded tourist hangout, likewise Darling harbour

lol!!! Tinder!?? Lol!! Wow!! Thank you for all these awesome tips!!! The city look so beautiful.! Everything you need to know, all in one video! Thank you
The train trip from the airport is "expensive" because you have to pay a station access fee to use the airport stations. Public transport in Sydney is reasonably priced, so Sydney to the Blue Mountains won't costs you more than $8:40 one-way. Maximum OPAL spend on the network is a $15 a day cap.
@@nickandhelmi Yes, the Sunday Opal deal is a great dead for a Sunday daytrip. Leave the car at home, travel somewhere, have some beers with a meal & head back home. Perfect.

Hey guys great video. Very informative. Hope to visit here someday. The train ride looks good to take hehe. Men i should definitely go there during winter here in Chicago hehe.😊
TIL Sydney has a capsule hotel. And i am an Australian living in Melbourne. Also... HOLY CRAP it is expensive for tourists coming here. I am going to Japan this Friday for 3 weeks... i am going to a 3 star hotel for a whole week is around $500 AUD. The whole week. I feel genuinely sorry for tourists who have to fork out absurd amounts of money to stay in a hotel here.
Yup Sydney isn't cheap especially hotels😂 OMG so excited Japan for 3 weeks!! Where about in Japan are you planning to go? We've been there like 3 times and never get enough of Japan at all!

The amount of free WiFi spots are slowly increasing but need to be careful about security

Hey guys great video. Very informative. Hope to visit here someday. The train ride looks good to take hehe. Men i should definitely go there during winter here in Chicago hehe.😊
hey paolo, glad you enjoy the travel tips. Oh maybe we should swap winter and summer in December haha.. We've never visited US during winter 😆
Your have to have rocks in your head to come here in the scorching summer. It gets to 50 degrees in the shade here!
Very informative 🙂
Thanks Surbhi, glad this is useful🙏🏻😊

@@nickandhelmi well, now i remember we have (or had) some in Spain. but it was cool to see it SYD!
