Firm believer that if they classify the sorc as a “glass Cannon” the class should reflect that lol. Like if they’re going to make them one shot they should be able to deal some massive damage. Risk/reward play style right?
Oh if the massive dmg was there I would totally be ok with it!
Trashbin from blizzard, first it does dmg just if frozen so u can’t push , second poor to no defense, tnx for sharing it hope someone at blizzy watch it

I don’t know why they don’t just give PTR players all the new gear right away, so you can actually test it. Instead of wasting time having to farm for it.

1st char I started for S4 was ice shards sorc, I hit a wall for sure when I hit the Pit or Uber bosses, it was just bad. Tried frostbolt/firebolt enchants, I also felt like I was missing options
3 enchantment slots plzzzz!

Hey Kelfka! I'm on console so I cannot play PTR but I'm almost 100% certain that the perma flame shield interaction is still in the game with Yen's blessing and is actually made more easily achievable thanks to how flame shield works in season 5. Flame shield cooldown will now begin after ending and yen's blessing will automatically cast it again the moment it ends. with good tempering you can get 6.5 seconds of flame shield duration and yen's will cast every 8 seconds. with decent cooldown reduction (or using hectic to assist with overlapping the auto cast from yen's with manual cast) and not using other cooldowns frequently you can easily achieve near permanent flame shield.
I don't think this is healthy for the game and should be addressed by making it to where Yen's cannot proc immortality cooldowns but I'm unsure how to report the issue for it to be addressed.

@KelfkaGaming okay if it works let me know :) if it still works the same way as season 4 apart from not being on cooldown til after skill ends then should definitely work.
Ice Shards is my first sorcerer build & I love it, I never understand why Ice Shards didn't chill enemy with a ice block on the face of them.

I got vox with 3 GA and tested this build. Does less damage with basic skills flying off which is useless. Miss out on all damage and tempers.
Damn, we need that extra 2h weapons slot ..
I like ice shards. Just more fun to me. I'd like for them to give us 4 enchantment slots. Make the 1st 3 unlock at 15 still but lock them into the 3 basic skills. Would give us chill and burn at all times. The 4th slot could then be choice. I think it would make it easier for them to balance.
They also need to give the bottom 3 classes 3 weapon slots. It is just wrong to give 2 of 5 classes such an obvious advantage. Plus I'm more of a Merlin than Harry Potter fan. I have to use wand and focus for the lucky hit.
It's sad to watch the boss fight. A single target skill should do more single target damage than an AOE skill does but it doesn't. I leveled 2 sorcs. this season and feel like there is about a 10 level difference in pit runs between ice shards and blizzard. Mainly because of the boss fight.
