Why doesn't changing the oil regularly help?
2013 RA finally lost the mech unit at 220k km (130k miles) service them regularly. manual says 20k miles; do it at 7k
Man I’m about to buy a used 2009 RA and it has 210k with supposedly no issues so far, worried that this will happen to me. How much was the replacement?
$6500.00 used w 30k miles sst changed out at Universal Mitsubishi

How is the trans so far ? I saw there ad on eBay but wasn’t sure , since I heard more about kozmic

I Went with Jacks because i had been talking to them for awhile while saving up for the trans ($7100 w/ upgraded damper) i was told Kozmic at the time wasn't doing a core exchange program. So, the was the selling point for me. The trans pulls like a fricken freight train!
Sorry, should have added this. They do a FULL teardown and cnc their own billet shift forks (so no magnet failure) they also machine out the valve body and replace all oem weak points in the trans...then, they field test it in their car on the road. they have these vids on youtube!
@tonybahena2245 kozmic are crazy good. Have theirs in my MR good for 5 to 600hp. It's expensive. Wouldn't do it again in hindsight, but when I got my MR the one on it was fried already. Jack's gave me some funky vibes when I reached out tbh. Kozmic and Taran and them are more than proven in the game but I'm sure jacks are fine if need be for location/ price / convenience.

What SST model you have? Try getting the batch after 2014. I always floor it and no problem at all.

Not bad at all. Just make sure to buy one from an actual owner then a stealership.
Not bad if you keep it close to stock. The moment you start messing with air flow, higher hp, higher torque. You can kiss your sst goodbye
They are fine with 300-330whp and tq ND diaqueen fluid changes frequently but if you Wanna mod an MR you need to get the trans built.
