Good news. I'm glad to hear it. To be honest I thought you might have been left holding the bag. Good on you Mazda. Looking forward to seeing you back on the road.
Good work MAZDA. Restoring faith in big companies with great customer service. I own a TRITON and also have received good customer service in the past, I am an advocate for dealership logbook servicing with quality after care services, I understand sometimes people have varying experiences.
Well done I remember telling you to ask Mazda about meeting in the middle but instead they covered it all ,, I told ya so ,,, cos I worked for Mazda and know reputation means alot to them cos number wise they don't have , so this type of incident attracts people in good ways , your not left with the burdens half as bad as you think if shit go wrong
Heaps of reviews and comments on this motor online. Mazda and Ford have dropped this motor incidentally. It desperately need a better aftermarket fuel filtration and catch can and don’t run the fuel low, also change the factory fuel filter every 10,000 kms to avoid these problems.
@@tyzon00800 same shit engine, different company that will absolutely bend you over and shove it in dry. Just like all the billions of tax dollars ford and Holden stole from us already and sent back to the US before they closed down.
@@davidturner3300 HAD* the same engine, yes. That is my point. Ford will not warranty it, so THANK GOD IT WASN'T A RANGER. Ford are so pathetic they still make these hand grenades, Mazda has cut ties entirely with them and now rebadging Isuzus ;) They KNOW how terrible the 5 cylinder Volvo is so it's nice they warrantied it.
Wow thats fantastic, great work from Mazda. I have a BT50 2020 model, last model before they went with Isuzu so good to know they have come to the party. Can I ask how many klm’s did yrs have?
@@OakesyAdventures ok thanks for that and thanks for keeping us updated. Ford have had quite a few issues we these motors, the egr seems to be another big issue with them as well. Good luck with the new motor.
So with that impressive good luck I recommend you put your hand in your own pocket and replace the other 4 injectors. They are, after all, the same age as the one that failed, so another one could easily fail on the way home......... I'm confident Mazda would not cough up for another new motor.
I assume BT50 with Ford motor not the 4JJ from Isuzu? If so, very common failure for the Ford motor and caused by injector issue apparently. Sorry to hear, it is a shame a 4jj is not possible.
No motor was stock as from new the only thing I remove was the muffler with a delt pipe. Butstill run the DPF. Mazda didn't get into it but buy the way they didn't push back says that it maybe a common fault.
Nice work Oakesy - that is a great outcome. It is not often we hear of such a good news story with these types of events. The obvious question is whether you will have confidence to keep the vehicle once the new motor is in? I mean really, what is the probability this scenario could happen again with no warranty?
I’m confused, you’re getting a “new motor”, a “new injector & a new turbo”. Don’t new motors come with all new injectors, not just one as you said, and turbo?
As I said in your other video hassle the crap out of Mazda and they might replace it for free. You must have caught the service manager on a good day or he is a good bloke and has seen this many times before. Well done mate. Hope you get a lot of ks from the new engine cheers anthony
Personally I’d be asking for 5 new injectors. If they don’t come to the party, buy 4 injectors and have them fit them went dressing the new motor. You won’t have the niggle in the back of your mind on the next adventure.
Interesting to see if buying new injectors @ 100,000kms would stop all injector problems??? You know.... like a timing belt...."it's a maintenance thing"...
I would shell out for four new injectors to replace the existing ones.
Done thanks for the feed back 🙏
Great News Greg
Great news Oaksey, see you back on the road!
Good news. I'm glad to hear it. To be honest I thought you might have been left holding the bag. Good on you Mazda. Looking forward to seeing you back on the road.
You and me both!

Thanks for the update /…so glad things went so well.
Mazda….you are exceptional.
Fantastic. Great advertising for Mazda and service manager. Thank you for the update.
You are welcome
Might be worth your while to renew all injectors
What were the warnings or indications of imminent engine failure?.?
I had none all going well then rattle bang stop.

To true Mazda has been good to deal with and yes you were right.
@@OakesyAdventures love it ,, so happy for ya mate ,, other brands will do the same if you do things right , just gotta ask nicely lol ,, cheers man
Thanks for the update, and I hope things go smoothly for you 👍
Thank you
good to hear that. seems to be a common problem with diesel vehicles now with stuffed injectors and burnt pistons.

Well done Mazda. Respect.
Include Ford too! Don't keep it too long, let the next poor sod pick up the costs.😂
Good call!
That's awesome to hear, Good work Mazda
Tell us your ranger story bubble boy

The Mazda BT-50 and the ford ranger have the same engine.

Was this under warranty? Looks like an older model. Either way hats off to Mazda
Doesn’t happen too often, stealerships are like insurance companies and look for any out to deny claims.

Thats exactley what I am doing my Friend.
@@OakesyAdventures 👍👍👍
One has to wonder whether someone in Mazda became aware of your previous vlog on the subject and saw it as an opportunity. Either way great outcome.
Good point!
Awesome
How often do you here go the other way well done mazda
Sell it mate before it does it again, they are shitboxes... Props to the dealer though.
Unbelievable, you are a lucky man , good on Mazda aswell , a job well done
Unbelievable mate 🎉what a good story
I have a bt50 and Mazda have been good better than normal service people.
I had a BT50 clutch burnout driving in soft sand , Mazda came to the party . That was yrs ? 15 ago.
I still drive a BT today , a different one. 👍🦘🇦🇺

Good result. What caused the injector to fail with 150k on it. Do you run a primary fuel filter?

No long motors dont come with any fruit.

WOW that's incredible
Common rail ,common fault .extremely high pressure poor filtration = dirty injector =hole in piston

They were good to deal with from the start. But wasnt expecting this outcome.
Hi how many is were on your old motor
107k
Sell it when it gets back
very lucky man

Yes on the same page already onto it I have told mazda to fit the other 4 injectors.
That's what I'd do too , all new all good in theory 😊
Was it out of warranty?
yes
How old was the vehicle?
6 years
Well done Mazda
kia or hyundai would fight you all the way to court
Why do people buy these brand's that are constantly getting bad press for being UNRELIABLE ?
So these things are crap?

I have now heard from alot of People that thats the best thing to do or just get them checked.
nice mate, we just quoted a customer 14k for a new p5at
those motors r shit
Bt50 under the dictionary means blown turbo
i honestly think if you didnt have the following you have it would have been tough luck
May be right the video of the BT50 on the side of the road got alot of attention
Great to hear…. Just look at the cx5 diesel cousins. Some reason these diesel engines also fail.
“Some reason”? Or did you mean same reason?
They have few year’s coverage they don’t tell you now sell it
