Nice vid! Which material are you using for the stickers? I have a CJV300-160 Plus, but just getting started with the peel-n-stick market. My vendor suggested General Formulations for the economy market (combo of price and quality). Thanks!
Every time I follow this step my CJV printer for some silly reason always gives me an ERROR 201: COMMAND code, and I have to go through a cycle of turning on and off both my computer and my printer. I have no idea why this error pops up instead for me. No matter how I do Mark Detection before sending the cut command, the printer issues a c36 error as well despite no problems on the registration mark. I have no idea why.
Use the option "Fill around registration marks" in RasterLink to give contrast to the marks. This also works for reflective media too if you don't want to bother adjusting the mark reader.
For half cut oes the pressure go up once its laminated? Since it gets slightly thicker? I have mine set to 150. Also I have problems sometimes where the pinch roller on the ends goes over a halfcut decal and completely ruins the job by pushing the decal out and shifting the material
When you laminate you will need more pressure. I usually set cut 1 and 2 for no lam and cut 3 and 4 for lam. You will probably need a little more blade depth as well. If media is falling out during print make your perfs slightly larger on the half cut settings. Email me at mgass@pdsequipment.com and I can send you a little more info on that.
I always print and cut together whenever possible. If you are applying a laminate film over the print you will have to print, remove and laminate then remount and cut. Also there are times with a solvent printer that you want the ink to dry before cutting so you may print several jobs then go back and cut.
I have the Mark detect error c36 constantly no matter what i do, could it be that i need the sensor replaced? I also have Mimaki CJV150-160 and it no longer will detect dark materials @@pdsequipment

How do you tell the programme how many registration marks to look for?
How do you change color of Reg marks to print on holographic?
Stupid question: how can I cut with the cover open? Because running Mark Detect with the cover closed is quite difficult.
I took a piece of credit card and folded it in half and slipped it in the cover sensors on both sides.
There are some metal pieces that are attached to the cover, unscrew them and just leave them on the magnets. Then you can open and close as you want.

you may try setting the cut sorting option in the machine, so that the cutter head wont go back and forth around your printjob during cutting.
What is the advantage of printing - then cutting as oppose to doing both together?
Some applications require lamination after print, then cut

How to cut calibrated in metallized silver sticker?
If you raise/lower the eye sensitivity it will usually read the marks
Using Illustrator to create a design, then making it print/cut ready ain't easy... bloody hell..
Did the same but I've got: Mark detect error c36 and also TP DETECT ERROR. Mimaki CJV150-160
Try making your mark a little longer amd make sure media is loaded straight.
