The Braves represented the whole Southeast in the 90s, there wasn't another team close and they were on TV every game. Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Bama, Mississippi, Tennessee. I was 12 last time we won the world series and this one was just as special.
Braves fans are all over the country. They aren't regional, they and the Cubs are the 2 national teams thanks to TBS and WGN. There were times in the 80's where these were the only 2 teams on TV vs. their opponents...literally every night.

I been a Braves fan since 99 we went to the world series only get swept by the Yankees that year. I've waited 22 years to see them get back to the fall classic, and I couldn't be more proud I knew they could do it and they got the job done. GO BRAVES!!!!

Everyone did their job at the right time each game. One night wore my Chipper Jones jersey, Andruw Jones, Francoeur, then 1995 World champion shirt, followed by NL East Division champion tshirt. It all started for me when I was 8. My grandparents went on a trip to Atlanta for an industrial coatings event where my grandfather and his coworkers won the national championship in coatings. On their way back, they stopped by a store near Turner Field, bringing me back a Braves jacket. Since then I had a Chipper Jones poster, and wished to see one day where they’d go back to the World Series (along with the heartache of watching my other team the Texas Rangers lose two straight). And now, at almost 32 years old, I can finally enjoy it. Congrats Braves!
Okay for the people saying the tomahawk chant is racist need to actually learn the facts cause if you’d actually go to a game a pay attention some of the Braves biggest sponsors are the Cherokee and the Seminoles, the chant came from the Seminoles and everyone finds it cool and some of us don’t participate in it but at the same time we don’t really have a problem with it. People don’t need to try and “Defend” native people when we are completely behind the chant and we can take care of ourselves. Our tribes literally have a group that deals with stuff like that specifically and if our tribes had a problem with it then it would’ve been gone back in 2015

Was very fortunate I was at game 6 in 1995 thanks to my aunt Joy who had season tickets and now 26 years later getting to see them win it again! Just an amazing ride this year with all the ups and downs. Love this team! Go Braves!
I saw them lose the 91 World series, I watched them win, the incredible 92 NLCS where Sid Bream slid across the plate and they won in game 7 and scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning. Then unfortunately they lost the 92 world series, but came back and won it in 95, but lost in 96 and 99. So I've been through a lot watching this team over the years. So happy they won the world series again after 26 years!!!

Ever since the civil rights era there's been a sports, civil rights/politics conflict. Black athletes such as Ali, #44, etc used their platforms to speak out about injustices... Later organizations began taking a stand as well, as they should. It wasn't MLB that caused pullout it was the GOP. MLB responded.
Maybe that's right but it took a lot of balls for Manfred to pull the MLB All Star game out of Atlanta which I'm sure he didn't do just on his own. Consultation with many people before doing something like that I'm sure. But leadership sometimes mean making the hard decisions like that knowing not everyone will agree with the decision and yes sports should not have the politics involved. But these days with the Voting Suppression bills that have been passed in Georgia and especially the way they did it - without consultation from anyone was a bold move. Frankly, I'm surprised Home Depot, Georgia Pacific, Coca Cola, etc and other Atlanta based companies on that level didn't do more.

I'm sure u can make that happen. When I was a youngster, I wrote the braves a letter, and they responded and at the next home game, I met with some braves company and got a signed baseball from the player's! 💯🤟🏼🏆

I've been a fan of the Atlanta Braves since I was 8yr old. It was WTBS Braves or WGN Cubs and didn't like the cubs. That's how I became a die hard Braves fan.
