They had a story evil Spiderman dreams Spider-Man kills him so he hunts down the mom and baby madam web sees the future and needs to bring the future spider people that are old enough to stand up to him they don’t even need powers the overall plot could stay the same

The problem is they tried to make an action movie out of a power that is geared more towards planning and manipulation. The is a perfectly fine Madam Webb movie here that could have been a drama, mystery or thriller that they chose not to do.

Playing out premonitions in real-time, then playing through them again, feels like they were doing everything they could to get the runtime up. Certainly didn't fill that time with logical storylines or interesting characters.
If this had stayed a movie about a paramedic who gets premonitions it could have been a decent movie. Those were the best parts, when it gets into spider-lore it gets lost.

As I sat in the theater, and the movie neared its end, the fireworks began firing during the final fight. When madame Webb split into 4, I was engulfed in chills. THIS IS CINEMA. Nothing but greatness, especially in the dialogue. 20/10
I had heard about the ADR in this movie and now witnessing it myself (through RR) I am absolutely baffled a big-budget project would allow something like this to be released.
It's kind of amazing when the villain spoke, his lip movement rarely matched up with what was being said. It's like they were trying to dub his voice throughout the film 🤣

I'm glad you guys mentioned the taxi thing. I was thinking about that the whole time when I saw it in theaters. Wouldn't the cab company have reported it stolen and wouldn't the cops have been able to track it down, especially when Cassandra's driving through the city itself or when she goes back to the diner after the incident there? She even keeps driving it when she gets back from Peru lol. Speaking of the diner, that song Toxic by Britney Spears was playing when the girls are dancing on the table. The movie takes place in 2003, but that song didn't come out until a year later. You'd think it'd be an easy thing for the producers to know. The setting was pointless anyway. There was no good reason for this movie to be set in 2003 if it wasn't gonna connect to anything. Hardly anything about this film made sense. By the way, as bad as it is, nothing could be worse than Morbuis. This movie is at least watchable, that one isn't.

Only here to leave a comment because I’m not doing this to myself again and watching this movie. I went to the cinema to see it with my friends having heard nothing about it. Before we went in I asked one of my friends if they had heard anything about the movie and they said it’s supposed to be worse than Morbius which I didn’t think was possible I was very wrong 😂.
I saw this movie with my friend group in the theater (I basically dragged them to it lol but in all seriousness they were looking forward to how bad it was gonna be) and we started laughing hysterically in the first like five minutes. It wasnt a full theater, some people were there and they got pissed off at us. So for the remaining hour and a half we had to really reign in our laughter. Some of my friends were straight up suffering trying to stifle their laughter like tea kettles about to burst lol
OK now all seriousness here is my take in my opinion on Sony and superhero movies right now and I’ve had this for quite a while but you, Greg and the gang and this movie proves the point I am about to make. Sony cannot make origin movies the characters need to pre-exist, and then everything else around them tells the story they just plain suck at origins stories. I have not seen one date that they have done that works. They just have to abandon that whole idea altogether just the characters exist and something happens and they pop in that’s it I had nothing, nothing else seems to work even the good ones were like eh to me. Yep Yep no more origin movies.
Also, another thing I heard about this movie is that how everything kind of played out seemed a little more like LA female stalker film than a superhero film and then they said they decided to change everything in ADR to try to change it up that’s what I heard and say that’s what happened butall that ADR I would not doubt it

Isabela Merced's character says she doesn't want to be involved with the foster system, when ironically she played another movie character that *is* involved with the foster system ("Instant Family").
Only here to leave a comment because I’m not doing this to myself again and watching this movie. I went to the cinema to see it with my friends having heard nothing about it. Before we went in I asked one of my friends if they had heard anything about the movie and they said it’s supposed to be worse than Morbius which I didn’t think was possible I was very wrong 😂.

I saw this movie with my friend group in the theater (I basically dragged them to it lol but in all seriousness they were looking forward to how bad it was gonna be) and we started laughing hysterically in the first like five minutes. It wasnt a full theater, some people were there and they got pissed off at us. So for the remaining hour and a half we had to really reign in our laughter. Some of my friends were straight up suffering trying to stifle their laughter like tea kettles about to burst lol
OK now all seriousness here is my take in my opinion on Sony and superhero movies right now and I’ve had this for quite a while but you, Greg and the gang and this movie proves the point I am about to make. Sony cannot make origin movies the characters need to pre-exist, and then everything else around them tells the story they just plain suck at origins stories. I have not seen one date that they have done that works. They just have to abandon that whole idea altogether just the characters exist and something happens and they pop in that’s it I had nothing, nothing else seems to work even the good ones were like eh to me. Yep Yep no more origin movies.
Imagine like less than 2 years after 9/11 no one moves out of the way for an ambulance in a manhattan adjacent borough

Also, another thing I heard about this movie is that how everything kind of played out seemed a little more like LA female stalker film than a superhero film and then they said they decided to change everything in ADR to try to change it up that’s what I heard and say that’s what happened butall that ADR I would not doubt it

The acting in this film is top notch 😂 Dakotas line delivery is Oscar worthy along with ADR voice bad guy. It’s still not the worst movie I’ve seen but for a Sony Spiderverse movie it is horrific 😮 With all the movies that get shelved this one gets released??
