I don't think lack of education is the problem (though that is certainly a problem). Rather the problem is indoctrination! People who are indoctrinated are not open to new ideas, or new information and they are very often afraid to encounter anything that may challenge their beliefs. I'm not saying that people shouldn't have conviction about certain ideas- that's a fundamental attribute of humanity after all- but in order to grow a person needs to challenge their beliefs, to test them, as a person who wants to develop a muscle will challenge that muscle with weights.
American Indian people gained freedom of religion in 1978. We were forcibly converted and millions were killed in the name of Christianity.

I lived in Ky from ages 5-12 & we said the Pledge of Allegiance & they said a prayer every morning over the intercom. I still think it’s weird & my mom took me to Church every Wed & Sunday. Now I stay away from Church & focus on having a personal relationship with who I believe to be my Creator.

What has changed are some among us that claim Christianity, but practice it in a way that isn't consistent with what the scipture says. It's not a new situation either. I travelled to Europe many years ago, and when in Italy, I visited the Vatican. What I saw was room after room of priceless riches... paintings, jewelry, art, sculpture. Selling just one of those paintings could have fed the poor, built homes, & provided health care for multitudes. That was when I realized the whole thing is a sham, and the more I see and hear so-called Christians being hypocrites, the more I rejoice that I never became a sheep in someone's flock.

It would have fed a certain number of poor for a short while and then they would have starved again and the paintings would be gone. You can't eat a painting after all, and priceless art works don't increase the harvest yields, and if you throw more money at the same amount of crops prices would go up, you would make some farmers wealthier for a time and then those vatican artworks would end up in private hands and the public would no longer get to see them.

One of the reasons gold is scarce is because it is a dense metal, when the Earth formed, most of the gold sunk to the Earth's core, if we mined asteroids, gold would become much more abundant than it is today.

I spent 5 years in Southern Baptist run Christian schools. It has always amazed me how many Christians do not follow what Jesus said we should do. Don't judge one another. Love one another. Take care of one another. So many seem to not have a clue.

This country was founded on freedom of religion
Seperation of Church and State. Period.
God is NOT mentioned in the Constitution even once. "IN GOD WE TRUST " was added to our money and The Pledge of Allegiance in the mid 1950's. It is mind blowing how little people know about our country, the Constitution and what principles our country was founded on. 😢
The Constitution gives us the freedom of religion, as well as freedom from religion. The First Amendment is the reason churches don't pay taxes, to keep the church separate from the state.
Wow the fact that this country’s founding principle was based on freedom of religion and these folks want to destroy that principle is astonishing.
The first woman speaking doesn’t know what she's talking about. People who never went to college/ university should probably not talk so authoritatively about it. My university had many religeous groups... including a few different Christian groups. None were banned. They met on campus and put on events that anyone could attend if they wanted.. What she is complaining about is that the administration nor the professors are allowed to cram religion down student's' throats or put students in the uncomfortable position of having to participate in a religion that is antithetical to their own beliefs and values.
"Our freedom of religion ... to force everybody to believe what we believe"
That's what the Pilgrim Father's brought to the US. They weren't escaping persecution they didn't like freedom of religion.
And if you don't let us force Christianity on others you're infringing on our right to religion!!!
