When I was 23 I took my friend from Japan to Disneyland while he was visiting SoCal around Christmas. We got in the very long line for “It’s a Small World”. Out of the hundreds of people ahead of us in line, the person literally right in front of us was the first girl I ever dated in high school With her husband. We shared a boat with them. The world truly felt small on that boat ride 🤣😂

For those that don't know, this was built by Arrow Dynamics, along with Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and a few other rides. This was built back when Arrow and Walt Disney had a good relationship together, and Disney actually helped Arrow out of bankruptcy because he wanted to see them succeed. But sadly, Arrow did go bankrupt again, and didn't recover from it. I'm pretty sure X2 was the last coaster they built, witch was one of their new 4D coasters. But they went bankrupt during its construction and never came back since. RIP Arrow.
Oh yeah, when it hits the evening, it starts to bring off the nostalgia! It reminded me of when I first saw it as a kid. (I don’t remember much, except the Danish drummers and some of the grand finale.) Just me, though.

Brian Delaney Same- I literally almost started crying because I miss the concept of going to Disneyland. (Last time I went was middle school- and I’m a college junior)
The rides I remember since 1967. Pirates of Caribbean, the submarines, Small world, and just to be there when the sun went down and the bands and parade started.
I was at Disney World two weeks ago. And I rode on “it’s a small world” twice during my visits to the magic kingdom. On my first day, this was my second ride. On my last day, I honest forget when I went on it. But I had lots of fun on this ride with my cousin.
I hate the fact that so many people despise this ride. Ok, it’s not the most exciting ride in the world, but it’s message is one that should be cherished, respected, and appreciated. We live in a hateful world, and this ride reminds us that everyone’s only human at the end of the day regardless of any conflict. I hope that I was able to make some of you respect this ride more, and I wish the best for everyone who reads this. 👍

Beautiful song of love and unity. After all this world is very small in comparison to our divine and immortal friendship. Wishing all friends best of luck. May graceful Lord bless all.
When I went back in 2016, times have changed. The park was so packed, I was only able to go on it once a day during our 5 day vacation. Before 2016, the last time I went was 2009. Times then were different, the world didn’t have that many people who could afford Disneyland. Those days were the golden times to go for me.....sigh.
I remember when my friends and I went on this ride 10 years ago and we got stuck on the ride for over 3 hours listening to that song, we’ve never been on it ever since.
I honestly think that this version is way better than the Disneyland Paris one, I was scared of that ride my whole life because of the animatronics "in" the water. This version is way more calming for people like me with submechanophobia.
I honestly hate how much hate this ride gets. People are either “it’s annoying” or “it’s creepy.” Honestly, people who think that obviously didn’t grow up. The ride has such an interesting concept. It walks you through all these different cultures, and languages. The song in general is about world peace. This ride gives me so much nostalgia. It was always my favorite. Some say the dolls are creepy, but I see them as super cute. I also think it’s cute how the general vibe was supposed to look like arts and crafts.
Oh awesome, I also Ihave a few Disneyland walkthrough videos that might help, check in my Channel profile, there's several videos that might interest you.
The only way to describe it is a “15 minute boat ride around various scenes featuring hundreds of audio animatronic dolls singing the same song over and over again” and it sounds horrifying, yet it’s actually the cutest thing ever
First time I rode this was in 1976 or 7, I was about 3 or 4. I was a little bit scared, being in the dark and all, and all the vibrant colors.... Whoooo.. Alot to take in. It was like a Natural Acid trip. I can still remember it. Alot has changed, but there are still some parts that are original. I am hoping to go there this year for vacation and i will hit up this ride. I am 44 now but the nostalgia will be great. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing this video-just made me feel like a kid again! I'm going to visit Disney again after covid and take that "small world" boat ride! I'm sure it will be fun!
This ride is like oatmeal raisin cookies: it's the reason why I have trust issues. The Matterhorn was the first ride I went on when I went to Disneyland at nine years old. It was awesome. The castle was even bigger and I figured it must have a much more awesome ride inside of it. I was mistaken, and I spent 15 minutes sitting there regretting that mistake.
This isn't a thrill ride. It's a feel-good dark ride with a beautiful and powerful message. Even if the song is repetitive, this is one of the best things to come out of Disney. And mind you, this was made in the 60's when people were still racist. Walt really gave the world a step in the right direction.
1983, I was 10 and my little brother was 8 and my parents said ok, It's one o'clock meet us back at It's a small world at 3 o'clock. We had such a fun time running all over the place and when we rode It's a small world we decided it would be cooler if we jumped off and ran along the side with all the country characters and we got on closer to the end. Such good times.
It's still going strong (and causing nightmares because of the dolls) even tho it's one of the oldest attractions in the park. Personally I think the music is nice to listen to but it can be annoying. Even though the Dolls are cute, they can be scary sometimes. Especially when someone caught the attraction in the dark. I'm pretty sure the Song and the Lights turn off, but not the Dolls. Truly terrifying
I remember being astounded by this at the 1964 World's Fair. I remember the dinosaurs that are now in the Disneyland Railroad as well. I was 4 at the time, and it was magical.
The fact that this ride was made when people were still racist makes it that much more beautiful. Thank you Walt, for giving the world a huge step in the right direction.
This used to be MY FAVORITE ride when I was a child. I STILL love this song. Some people find it annoying, BUT NOT ME! I love this song because it makes Me happy.
I enjoy the song, not sure if my headset was set too loud, but after about 8 minutes I started getting a headache :( I watched the whole video though. I don't have enough money to go to Disney World. It's too expensive. So it's nice being able to watch these videos and enjoy what I can :)
I've been on this brightly lit dark ride 4️⃣ times with my parents and many other unknown theme park guests. It's beautiful, but the theme song by The Disney Children's Chorus is really aggravating. In fact, I played it on the 🎹 twice and it's very addictive. The Sherman Brothers composed the music back then. What do you 🤔? I have a pin of "It's A Small World" in my shadow box as we speak in the comment boards on UA-cam. 😂😂 👍🏻 if you agree and liked this atttraction when you were a kid.
I always love how Crystal clear the water is that you see outside. Like the Summer Olympic pool that you can also see at bottom so clearly. The water on the ride is a strong smelling Chlorine. Anyways, water so clear that it seems like you can even drink it, lol.
I have to be honest here the only reason why my family goes on small world at Disney world Disney land which ever is because it’s cool it’s relaxing and it’s a nice break to all the loud noises
I would probably be done with the song in the first 5 minutes, but I do want to experience this one day. I went to Disneyland as a kid one time and that day, this ride was closed. I recall going on a Dumbo ride and getting motion sick.

Brian Delaney Same- I literally almost started crying because I miss the concept of going to Disneyland. (Last time I went was middle school- and I’m a college junior)

That, that right there...
Didn't happen to me. :(
My favorite part's the Switzerland part, honestly
There is a legend that a family went missing in this ride and they where never seen again
Best ride to go on when you need a break from the sun. Disneyland is my most favourite place. The smell in the air is even magical there ❤
The rides I remember since 1967. Pirates of Caribbean, the submarines, Small world, and just to be there when the sun went down and the bands and parade started.
This doesn't get no more classic than this. My all time favorite childhood ride.😀😃😁
I was at Disney World two weeks ago. And I rode on “it’s a small world” twice during my visits to the magic kingdom. On my first day, this was my second ride. On my last day, I honest forget when I went on it. But I had lots of fun on this ride with my cousin.
Maki Brinton sorry.
Best boat ride at Disneyland! I can enjoy and sing this song forever!!!!!! It's a small world after all. Love it!!!!
I really enjoy this ride, it's so relaxing and cheerful and uplifting.
@@BenHodgeThemeParkEndeavor I can’t get enough of this ride as well!
Have y’all ever got stuck on this ride?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I did with my boyfriend and his homies lol they got so creative lol they started beat boxing and doing remixes to this song. I swearrrrr I was laughing so hard I wanted to swim the rest of the way 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone

And the oceans are wide

Beautiful song of love and unity.

Amen. God bless you too.
It's amazing how they keep everything working and functioning at the same time.
The only thing that would make this experience less hell-like is some sweet soothing death metal
I went on this ride in the 90’s and it is still memorable. I can’t wait to take my daughter on this ride next year!!
The AC inside this ride is the best !
That’s the only reason most people ride it. For the AC and the fact that it’s a longer ride so you can rest your feet for a while.
There was NO line when I went last time and I went 5 times 🤣
Oh.. well guess what! In 2011, I went on the ride 7 times.

Id hate to say this but "its a small world" attraction scares me the dolls look creppy
Awh. This video was published on my birthday! I also love this ride, seeing all of the animatronics come to life and all of the sounds and colors.

EXACTLY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! ;;w;;
Sorta why I created a video making fun of all the people who are saying that about the ride..
Well, my mum hated the song of how it becomes a earworm to her (She used to work in Disneyland when I was little)
They definitely have added to the ride over the years. Beautiful!
I LOVE HOW THE SONG CHANGES DEPENDING ON YOUR AREA
This was my dad's favorite ride at Disney World. That song would make me lose it, though.
Fun Fact: the girl spinning in the ride with the figure skates at the beginning is left-handed!
hope to remember it for a long time...sad that many kids today don't know the song....Woodland Elementary is learning it!
Thank you! I'm building Disneyland in Minecraft and this video is proving very helpful!
Oh awesome, I also Ihave a few Disneyland walkthrough videos that might help, check in my Channel profile, there's several videos that might interest you.
@@BenHodgeThemeParkEndeavor Cool! I think I will.
The concept of this ride to me is adorable yet oddly terrifying
Why terrifying
@@MrC_316 can't understand that either... as a child I loved it.. still find it cute but now I'd rather go to the thrill rides
Thanks for the video.
cool!
thanks for the reply. We share the same first name which is obviously the best one to have.
Yeah it's amazing how much this ride has changed over the years, I've been going on it since 1976 which is the year I was born.

me too! my mom was pregnant with me in '76 and she went on it. and then when I was 4 I made her go on it with me about 100 times in a row! :D

You're very welcome, hope you have a magical trip.
10:45 I wonder how I didn’t notice woody and Jessie when I went
英語が分からなくても楽しめるアトラクションだよね。

Truly terrifying
oh no that sounds horrifying
This ride (Disney land) is one of the last best memories I have with my mother.
I love it too!
I enjoy the song, not sure if my headset was set too loud, but after about 8 minutes I started getting a headache :( I watched the whole video though. I don't have enough money to go to Disney World. It's too expensive. So it's nice being able to watch these videos and enjoy what I can :)

Love the ride. I could be stuck in that ride for hours and I wouldn't care. Been riding that ride since the 60s and it never disappoints.
☺️😄🤢🤢🤢😭🤢😭😭🤫
I've been on this brightly lit dark ride 4️⃣ times with my parents and many other unknown theme park guests. It's beautiful, but the theme song by The Disney Children's Chorus is really aggravating. In fact, I played it on the 🎹 twice and it's very addictive. The Sherman Brothers composed the music back then. What do you 🤔? I have a pin of "It's A Small World" in my shadow box as we speak in the comment boards on UA-cam. 😂😂 👍🏻 if you agree and liked this atttraction when you were a kid.
Thank you for this video. Many years ago this was my moms favorite ride. She is gone now. But love the memories of our times at Disneyland..

I always love how Crystal clear the water is that you see outside. Like the Summer Olympic pool that you can also see at bottom so clearly. The water on the ride is a strong smelling Chlorine. Anyways, water so clear that it seems like you can even drink it, lol.
I think they use bromine actually
I have to be honest here the only reason why my family goes on small world at Disney world Disney land which ever is because it’s cool it’s relaxing and it’s a nice break to all the loud noises
Such a relaxing ride. Love this park. 😊
I would probably be done with the song in the first 5 minutes, but I do want to experience this one day. I went to Disneyland as a kid one time and that day, this ride was closed. I recall going on a Dumbo ride and getting motion sick.
The teacup rides are the ones that made me motion sick
