My cousin was a priest. Killed by a drunk driver in 1975. This song was sung at his funeral. I always rremembered the first line. I asked a priest who participated why I had never heard this before. He told me that it was always a part of a funeral mass for a priest. This song fit my cousin so well. Thank you.
All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you. 1. Deep the joy of being together in one heart And for me that’s just where it is. 2. As we make our way through all the joys and pain, Can we sense our younger truer selves? 3. Someone will be calling you to be there for a While. Can you hear his cry from deep within? 3. Laughter, joy and presence: the only gifts you are! Have you time? I’d like to be with you. 4. Persons come into the fiber of our lives And then their shadow fades and disappears, but...
I have listened to several people play and sing this song. This particular rendition fills the soul. It brought me close to tears. May God bless you more.
This song brought back fond memories of dear Spiritual Director Fr. Bill Goudreau who passed away in 2011. How his face used to shine while he sang, waving his hands in air. Praise the Lord !!
Surprised to read in the comments that it's also a funeral song. I've heard it being sung for wedding masses. Nevertheless such a beautiful song, with such meaningful lyrics.
Awesome high school song here...Sr Marion played so right on piano 🎹.... Pray, is this song grounded on some bible part...if so, someone share....either way, it's powerful 🙏
I first heard this perhaps 10 years ago during a funeral service, I had no idea it was religious. I thought it reflected the thoughts and wishes of the woman who died. She just sort of loved so many, I assumed it was her telling us that one last time -- to make sure we knew. Silly me, huh?
@@CatholicChristianMIDI Thank you so very much for your help and your time & trouble. I really appreciate it. I didn't explain myself properly.... I meant a UA-cam Video of this song which showed the lyrics clearly on the video. Thank you. God bless you 🙏🏼🕊
I've known of this song since the 1970s. I understood it a devotional during the mass. I had it on cassette tape (remember those?). I believe the recording was from a group of Jesuit brothers. Does anyone know their name?
@@sunshinerosez high Sunshine. Thanks. I too figured that out after writing my comment. The song brings back memories of a younger, more earnest age of life. We're all just a little more jaded now.
All i wish to ask is this. Anyone with a NORBERT in their name, go vocal to Biden and remind him what sin is!!!! For it was norbertines that educated Biden and he states this. Seems like God is mocked if those of the name NORBERT stay SILENT!!!

In the early 1970's I had the privilege to attend a week long retreat at Weston Priory. I listened to Brother Gregory's music everyday.
Thank you, Brother Gregory. This is one of the songs that comes back to me when I need it. Again, thank you.

Hi sir it's a superb hymn.👃👃👃

To be clear this is not Gregory Norbert singing. The performer is identified in the opening credits. Chris Urittria
Thanks for making that clear. Chris Urrutia deserves full credit for his beautiful performance.
My Dad just passed and I found these lyrics for this beautiful song in his funeral file.
Sorry for your loss. Several people have also commented about this song being used for funerals. I hope you find peace and solace.
